The school funding is not equal in America. Some schools are able to have many different programs and some cannot even afford one. The government is giving more money to schools in the “better” areas, but nothing can tell you what makes one area better than the other. The government wants people to be equal even though they are not giving the money out equally that effects people. The schools in America should have equal funding so that each child can receive the same chance as another.
He would greatly dislike the fact that even a few generations ago, the average man would need to work to obtain an education, but at least that education is one step closer to being the enlightenment he prefers. But what if society didn’t need to work to obtain an education? Society as a whole would more likely love to learn and expand our knowledge, on topics such as, how the universe came to be or where the universe is going. These are topics that Thoreau would have thought about while at Walden pond. But in today’s society, we look at these topics as something far greater than us ourselves and it becomes daunting to think about when thought on too long.
I do like the idea that it helps children receive a better education but as I said I do think it should only be for a selective few of children. I don’t like how it is pulling money away from local schools in ones residence and brining it into a new district. The article states
They should be in school getting an education so that our world will have good leaders in the future and our people will be more knowledgeable about the world we live in. If the next generation is not educated, instead of the worlds problems being solved, they will only increase. If the places that the children worked had better conditions, shorter hours and a higher salary, my opinion might be different. The amount of money these children are making is not enough to help their family in the long run. It might buy them an extra cup of rice or help them pay the rent but it is not worth what they are going through everyday to earn the money.
But, perhaps arming teachers isn’t the best, safest or only route to a better future and an end to the problem. Having higher budgets for schools to get security, metal detectors and armed policemen and women would do a whole lot more than arming teachers. What is more sacred than the lives of the future? What could be more precious than a child who has yet to see their latter years? Time is already spinning and wasting out.
At what point will people decide that something must be done to change the way the schools are run. Children today need a strong foundation to grow and build on but, the schools today aren’t fulfilling the students needs. Mann believes that the education should be strengthened and improved to produce active learners and participants in society. Moore believes that the government is to blame and they would rather do anything else than deal with this issue. The education of Americas youth is very important.
This would be put into action by restructuring our educational system as Finland did. We should not exactly copy Finland, but take what's working from there and implement it the best we can to better educate our children. The differences between school systems are bigger than we even thought. The Scandinavian countries are already a few steps ahead of us and we need to catch up soon before it's too late. To ensure that this educational movement takes place, It is time for the population to speak up, we need the government to realize we are falling behind.
Safety in schools is a huge thing we need to focus on, not only are they innocent kids, but they are the future of the world and they will change and shape the world for years to come. New bills will make new mental health programs for schools, improve school communication, law enforcement and state agencies; create a gif task force, for school shooting. Bills don 't go far enough to prevent school shootings. Things we need to do, get more resource officers to protect our schools. Having only one resource officer to patrol an entire school is not enough, how do you expect one officer to
Now we see that it ranges anyway from poverty to not have guidance from a counselor at a younger age. All these things are very important in making kids not want to go and deterring them away. So in the future we will all have to play a part in making this change so everyone gets a chance to go to college, because it is very important and can lead to a better chance at life and a future for some of these kids and without it they might not get the chance to do what they want with their lives. Further research could have been done if I had more time. It would have progressed my paper and maybe I could have talked to some of my family members who didn't attend college and find out their reasons.
At times I wouldn't blame them if they were to think this in any way but I am going to have to say that have a little faith in us. What we do cane either make or break America. My responsibility is to be able to demonstrate to others that it is not a bad thing to have ambition and strive for the best in whatever it is we want to pursue. Everything we want to do or be starts with education. Even though Education can be very tedious and at moments seem extremely difficult we just need to get through it, after all education is not something meant to be easy because then it is not education and we are not learning anything, the goal is to learn, comprehend as much information and apply that to the world we live in.
In the year 2013, President Barack Obama explained in his State of The Union Address that he would like to take the initiative to give every child the chance to have early on education. Despite many people agreeing that something should be done to help boost the education system in America, there were also argument that came up with this idea being presented. Some of these people argued that by going through with this idea, money would be taken away from taxpayers as well as the government. The supporters of this project state that by going through with this idea, this project could have outstanding effects on the children in their near future. The main driving factors that make these two sides so opposite is the targeted people that will be affected.
One of the biggest opposition with Universal Per-K is funding. With the costs of Universal Pre-K often being deemed “underestimated,” opponents want to know who will be paying for it. Some even argue that the state should not be providing these services and allow existing agencies to continue operating Pre-K Programs. Whether or not you’re a proponent or opponent for the Universal Pre-K Initiative the impact it will have on the Early Childhood Education workforce is apparent. The impact can be looked at both positively or negatively.
To avoid the roadblocks is to do the right thing and make the better choice. My parents dream include getting good grades while making the good decisions. One quote by an unknown person said “ Move out of your comfort zone you can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when u try sometimes”. As my parents dream of getting good grades, they also want me to learn new things. To be successful is going to be hard and challenging step with hard work.
The ACLU would most likely file a lawsuit against any version of this policy if passed because they will say that it violates the separation of church and state because some of the schools that will take students using vouchers provided by the government. A potential harm of this policy is that is it could make it more difficult for children in heavily isolated areas to receive these higher levels of education because it will be difficult for them to have access to a private school. Students in these portions of the state are more likely to be the ones who need public schools than students that live in urban areas. While they will still receive a better education than before, it might not reach the level of the education being received by those in private
We should learn what we need for our future rather than plays from the fifteenth century and greek mythology. Educators should feel more pressure as more students drop out or stick to minimum wage jobs due to lack of basic understanding which should have taught to them in their earlier education. As previously mentioned the educators do a amazing job but are told to teach the wrong subjects.”There is no profession more essential than that of an educator. and it 's time for all of us to embrace and celebrate their importance and contribution to America’s children”- Queen Latifah. There is no doubt that Shakespeare teaches students but is more or less should be
