Women's rights 1920s Raising their voices to vote, receiving a higher education, and suffrage, they were all fought for by women during the 1920s. Throughout this time period women unified together and created a movement that was controversial towards the public, especially towards men because it was believed that women were men's property. Therefor women were seen as housewife, staying at home and serving in the household. Due to the rise of women raising their voices it made it a traumatic controversial towards men.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Wicked: The Life and Time of the Wicked Witch of the West possesses feminist ideals represented through the characterization of female characters. Iconic characters such as Dorothy, Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba), Wicked Witch of the East (Nessarose), and Good Witch of the South (Glinda) portray feminist characters that have developed and showed their strong personality, influencing women in today’s society. This leads to the question – To what extent is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Wicked empowering women through the presentation of women? The Wonderful Wizard of Oz paved the way for the increase in number of feminist novels.
The 20th century saw a major increase in women’s rights, getting a step nearer to gender equality. It is defined as the act of treating men and women equally, having the same access to right and opportunities no matter the gender. Although it is not a reality in our world, we do have advanced in comparison to the last century. At the begging of the 20th century women still were considered the weak gender. Their education consisted on learning practical skills such as sewing, cooking, and using the new domestic inventions of the era; unfortunately, this “formal training offered women little advantage in the struggle for stable work at a liveable wage” (1).
Once chapters were written, feedback from the critical colleague and Dr. Wilcox helped evaluate errors in logic as well as grammar and mechanical issues that would raise questions to the competency and credibility of the researcher. Having a professional, quality action research project will facilitate the collecting of data from the stakeholders and will give confidence for sharing the results and conclusions. The objectives of the 692 Research Methods and Design Course were met successfully in that they were completely embedded in the coursework. The effectiveness of the course was demonstrated as it was impossible to discuss the learning provided in the course without direct references to the objectives.

Women in the 1930’s had much different lives and expectations than today. Due to the depression many people had to change their lives to support their families and that includes women. After the feminist movement of the 1920s, due to the depression, women were forced to return to their previous lives as submissive housewives although many were required to earn an income by getting a job. There were many stereotypes surrounding women that affected the way they lived. Women were believed to be the civilizing force, taking care of the children and home, and that society could not survive without them (Moran).
The life of Women in the late 1800s. Life for women in the 1800s began to change as they pushed for more rights and equality. Still, men were seen as better than women, this way of thinking pushed women to break out from the limitations imposed on their sex. In the early 1800s women had virtually no rights and ultimately were not seen as people but they rather seen as items of possession, it wasn’t until the late 1800s that women started to gain more rights. The Civil War actually opened opportunities for women to gain more rights, because with many of the men gone to war women were left with the responsibilities that men usually fulfilled during that time period.
Women in the Progressive Era The Progressive Era was a time of change across America, a time when the country chose to reform into an industrialized urban country. Prosperity was widespread across America, so people turned to social issues to try to expand. Minorities in particular became a focus of this time period, and everyone tried to find a way to integrate them into society.
Both the “Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens” and “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” discuss the roles and natural rights that should be upheld in society. However, the “Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens” only covers those roles and rights pertaining to men and other citizens, which at this time in history did not include women. On the other hand, “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” covers the roles and rights of both men and women and discusses ways that society could improve to create equal rights for everyone. The differences in these two texts are evident in the language and length of each text. The “Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens” is only three pages long compared to the fourteen page, “A
The first wave of feminism has been a revolutionary social movement in terms of that it could lead to an overcoming of the previous social order (Newman, 2012 p. 487) through its social agents and create, through this, a new social ordering of time and space. Moreover, through reaching their previously described aims, the first wave of feminism has been able to literally “overthrow the entire system itself, (…) in order to replace it with another one.” (Skocpol, 1979, as cited in Newman 2012, p. 487). Thereby, one can even state that a new ordering of time and space by which routines and routinised behaviour has been challenged as well as changed took place. The interactions influenced the way how societies work today.

Generic strategy was developed strategies under this school, especially it can identify position in the market. Advantages: -Provide content in a systematic way to the existing way of looking at strategy -Particularly useful in early stage of strategy development, when date is analyzed -This school emphasis on analysis and calculation can be a very strong support to the strategy development process -This strategy suit with big businesses or organization which have ability for operate effective market research in the environment
The food industry is expected to grow rapidly in the future due to improving lifestyle and rapid urbanization (“Global Fast Food Market”, 2017). With this potential demand created, KHC can easily capitalize the growing foodservice industry and tailor their products to the specific demographic (Bhasin, 2018). Another strong resource KHC can utilize is focusing on nutritious products. As the foodservice industry continues to grow, KHC should further explore on expanding its product portfolio to include healthier options. Natural and organic brands, as well, as small labels buying from local farms, have become an essential part of the consumer lifestyle (Tarkan, 2015).
UNIQLO, 66-year-old Fashion and Retail industry was established in 1949 in Japan. It is a wholly owned subsidy which was bought by Fast Retailing Co Ltd since November 2005.With its head quarters in Tokyo it has managed to expand its clothing business in fourteen countries globally. An article from the Business Insider says that this Japanese chain has become the envy of retailers worldwide. It started in 1949 in Hiroshima as “Unique Clothing Warehouse”. The words were later joined to make “UNIQLO”.
Gender Equality is the only way forward. What is gender equality? Gender equality is achieved when all genders enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored.
