Just how our appearance represents us in the outside world, similarly the reception plays an important part in maintaining the reputation of the hotel when guests come in. One glance at reception office opinions would be formed in a matter of seconds.
If we put it in other way then reception area is like triumph card for your hotel business.
The most important part of reception is none other than its reception desk. Reception desk comes under many shape and sizes and in different materials too. They might be made up of wood, glass and even steel.

However, there is use of voice mails and other automated systems, receptionist still prefer to communicate through messages and calls to gather or give out required information. Receptionist also communicates with the guest in the hotels through intercom and try to solve them as fast as possible.

Hotels provide different telecommunication options to its guest when they stay in their hotel. Telecommunication services which are given in the hotel to its guest are telephones, mail boxes, voice mailboxes, fax, emails and TDD.
Mostly hotels provide local room service and long distance service which continues for 24 hours a day. Nowadays, telephones are automatically connected and programmed to guest room.
