Matt is shown to criticize the author of this one when he remarks “A more evil and vicious, and self-serving man that could ever be imagined…Matt threw the book away as hard as he could (170)”. Matt is surprised because El Patron has been nothing but nice to him and has been the main reason no one in the house has physical abuse him since El Patron provided his protection and his own personal bodyguard. Adolf Hitler believed that no one would notice the Holocaust because no one had taken much interest in the Armenian Genocide. The historical fiction book Forgotten Fire, by Adam Bagdasarian, tells the story of a boy named Vahan Kenderian who lived through the Armenian Genocide.

Yoda once said that “Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering”. This shows that in the end, fear will lead to suffering because it has the power to do so. The novel Night by Elie Wiesel is a memoir about Elie’s experience of the holocaust. This novel has many examples of hope and fear.
