As technology evolved and advanced rapidly in recent decades, the world was required to accommodate and keep up with its footsteps. In the communication world, the trend shifted mainly from newspaper to radio, to television, then now to the World Wide Web. People are now experiencing much more convenience, accessibility, engagement, and other vivid sensations. The sport business isn’t any different from other businesses; fans have bigger appetites to ask for more from their sport and team. I recall when I was in elementary and middle school, I needed to go to the front yard first thing in the morning to get the newspaper, which contained news from the day before. Team’s websites would be my topic today; I will evaluate three professional team’s websites by using the Model for Online Sport Communication (MOSC). As an NBA fan, I chose three teams from the association, which are the Golden States Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Los Angeles Clippers. As the hottest team in the NBA, the Warriors have gained a large amount of fan base and attention. The first and second components of the MOSC are mainly focused on individuals’ desires, involvement, and motives. The Warriors are surely in control in the first two components; it’s expected the fans visit their site more often and seek for more information. In comparison, the Philadelphia 76ers are not experiencing the same amount of attention as the Warriors are since they are at the bottom of the standings. As a Chris Paul fan, I noticed the Clippers also have gained a good amount of fans in recent years. The franchise has been striving to bring a new image to the team since there has been a silver lining for the once the worst franchise in NBA history.
