Only a few politicians are fighting for the democratic seat in the presidential election and Bernie Sanders in making his way up to number one. His beliefs on everything from healthcare to gun control help establish him as a frontrunner. He looks to improve America by addressing the country 's main trouble spots. Therefore, if Sanders was elected as president he would positively influence the United States. Bernie Sanders wants to better America as a whole while promoting equality and balance. As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and one way Sanders wants make America more powerful is by educating more Americans. When it comes to education Bernie Sanders believes that the best-educated workforce in the world is needed, due to the highly competitive global economy. He will do this by making college both free and debt free. If elected president, Bernie Sanders will take six steps to make college affordable regardless of a parent 's income and without going into deep debt. This will better Americans and consequently better America, which should be in every president 's agenda. Another way Sanders wants to not only better America but also the world is addressing and combating the devastating problems caused by climate change. On November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln said “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Today Sanders fears this happening due to a corrupt political finance system which is controlled by billionaires with special interests. However, Sanders is determined to not let that happen. Sanders will take six steps to restore the democracy in America because he believes that this is an issue that should concern all Americans regardless of their political stand
