In the world that we live in, civilizations have always been dominated by religious experience. The reason why the Roman Empire was influence by Christianity is because of the fact that the Roman Empire was in existence during that time. So, therefore the Romans would have been influence by the religion of Christianity. The advent of Christianity marks a fundamental break with the dominant values of the Greco-Roman world (Spielvogel pg 130). This means that the values of Christianity was different between the Greek culture and Christianity itself. The Greek culture was stooped in idolatry and other types of gods. But, in the Christian faith, we teach from the Bible that there is only one God. The impact that the Christian religion had on the Roman world is the fact that the preaching and teaching of Jesus and the Apostles changed the very mindsets of the Roman

As Christianity spread, the Romans felt that Christians were overly exclusive and hence harmful to the community and public order (Spielvogel pg 132). In other words, the Romans saw the Christians as a threat or as we say in the United States today, ?a threat to national security?. So, that is one of the reasons why Christians were being persecuted. During the time of Pliny the Younger and Trajan, Christians were considered harmless. They were persecuted if they persisted in their Christian faith. During the time of Diocletian in the fourth century, he admitted that the Christian religion was too strong to be eliminated by force. That comes to show if you look at it from a spiritual point of view, the power of the Holy Spirit changed all of that. In 313 A.D, the emperor Constantine made Christianity a legalized religion (Trueman Web.). Constantine himself had gotten save and was converted. So, with that being said, the Christian faith will change the face of government because the political leaders made up their minds to follow Jesus
