The juxtaposition of Newton with economic thought may be seen with an element of surprise and curiosity. Newton, as we all know, made large and mighty contributions to the field of science but what we may not know is how he played a crucial role in influencing thinkers of different fields to follow the similar direction of thought. Isaac Newton was a physicist, mathematician, and one of the first scientific intellects of his time in England. He was born at Woolsthorpe, near Lincolnshire in 1616.

Perhaps one would consider Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Archimedes, Nikola Tesla, or Sir Isaac Newton. How many of today’s world population would consider Galileo Galilei to be the world’s most renowned and influential scientist in world history? Not only did Galileo invent hundreds of things society still uses today. He also put his safety, sanity, and freedom on the line so that the rest of the world and the future world could have truth.
One of his most monumental discoveries, which would eventually be one of the reasons he was put on trial by the Catholic Church, was his discovery of sunspots on the Sun. These discoveries by Galileo invigorated others to verify his results, as the objectivity of the telescope o was in question. Those who looked into Galileo’s telescope would at times see aberrations around the edges of the lens, which would distort the picture. The veracity of Galileo’s claims, created a whole of class of telescopes that were larger and more accurate. This era of telescope manufacturing attracted Isaac Newton to develop his own; however he relied on mirrors to increase his magnification rather than lenses.
Eventually he found out about the invention of the telescope and ended up making his own. Once creating his own telescope, he begun to study the heavens and discovered many things about space. Galileo’s discoveries are still important today and have impacted the knowledge of many across the world. One of the things he uncovered about space is that the moon has a rough body and that it isn’t smooth as some scientists believed during that time period. Another one of his discoveries was that the Milky Way consists of multiple stars, which clarified many of the knowledge people had about it.
This law of planetary motion describes how the planets move. The law states that not only is the solar system sun-centered (proving a heliocentric theory earlier proposed by other astronomers and scientists), but also states that all planets involved in this system move in an elliptical pattern, and not in a perfect circle. This was a huge topic for a while. Not many people took the chance to argue with the theory, most likely because the law was inspired using some of Brahe’s accurate studies of how the planets orbit the sun. According to traditional Greek belief, the circle is seen as a symbol of divine perfection.
Science fiction is a genre of writing involving plots and themes related to future scientific advances and major social changes, often coming from the author’s imagination rather than from factual knowledge. With the advancement of Man’s knowledge resulting from the scientific revolution, fictional predictions about the future resulted in believable new works of science fiction. Some authors pictured future technologies that would benefit mankind in some way or would let mankind explore new boundaries that had previously limited the human experience. One of these authors was Jules Verne whose imagination allowed him to pen ideas about electrical submarines and solar sails. However, other authors envisioned a bleak dystopian world in which mankind has lost many important objects, and sometimes intangible values as well.
Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) greatly influenced Renaissance society through his scientific discoveries, inventions and inquires about the heliocentric system that disproved misconceptions. Galileo invented and improved many devices that influenced Renaissance society. One of these improvements was the telescope. With the improvements of the telescope, he discovered Jupiter’s Moons, Calisto, Europa, Io and Ganymede. His writings and ideas made big impacts that affected a great deal of people in ways that affected big changes on the way these countries developed. He even contributed to some of the biggest contracts in the world.
For example, Newton’s discovery of mechanical laws was a scientific breakthrough that changed the way in which scientists regarded physics and allowed them to progress the development of the study of motion.
