After Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have a brief argument on wither Macbeth should kill Duncan. They finally come to a conclusion that they should and they form a plan to kill him.
The letter which Macbeth wrote Lady Macbeth accelerated Macbeth’s ambition to kill king Duncan. Once Macbeth gained knowledge of the prophecy about being thane of Cawdor he wrote Lady Macbeth and told her all about it. Macbeth made a big mistake by doing that. Since Macbeth told Lady Macbeth about the prophecy, Lady Macbeth became ambitious and wanted Macbeth to fulfill the prophecy. By both Macbeth’s and Lady Macbeth’s ambition they generated a plan to accelerate the process for Macbeth to become king of Scotland.
The witches in in act I called Macbeth Thane of Glamis and Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth was already Thane of Glamis and he had given the position of Thane of Cawdor but he didn’t know about it. Also the three sisters told Macbeth that we would be king. After hearing this prediction his mind got totally tempted to kill the king. His interpretation of what the witches said was that he needed to kill the king so he could become king.
but After Duncan is killed, in order to clear the way to become the king, Macbeth plans to kill Banquo and his son. when Lady Macbeth is dead, he is very cold, just saying: “she could have died hereafter; there would have been a time for such a word.” How comes a loving couple of the old days becomes strangers! Macbeth and his wife create a plan to kill King Duncan, a noble, trusting friend of Macbeth. After Macbeth killed a traitor of King Duncan, Macbeth was given the title of Thane of Glamis.
