Leonardo da Vinci is famous for his incredible artwork. The process this inventor took behind this artwork, however, was more scientific than what meets the eye. As a boy da Vinci studied under Andrea del Verrochio. This “initiated him into a wide field of technological skills,” expanding his knowledge of the technical world (Keele, 43). However, Leonardo found his love for the arts outside of Verrocio’s studio. He applied his knowledge of the technical world to his philosophical art and found how perspective, light, shadows, and color could affect the human psyche.
