Mother Teresa helps to make sure these women see a future and get the help that they need to survive. Mother Teresa’s caring efforts helped the mentally and physically disabled children, and AIDs epidemic. She opened many schools, clinics, and orphanages (Stevenson 8). Mother Teresa is helping those who need it. She makes sure everyone is cared for and is healthy.
Without the discoveries from these women our medical world would not be the same. During the time that Florence Nightingale was creating modern nursing the civil war was going on. Also the discoveries of Florence Nightingale made great contributions to the world. Florence created the first nursing school, and she also made nursing a true profession. Also during Florence’s career, she save many lives and turned many unsanitary hospitals into clean and safe ones
Inspiring others to help others in need no matter who they are was a job she did well. She is certainly a hero of change because she helped many survive World War ll, almost 800 escaped because of her. Perhaps if more people were more like Corrie ten Boom then the world would be a more helpful place and everyone would be able to live a normal happy
Even if she did not have the power to change laws, she could use her symbolic post as the first lady. Her foundation allowed her to make personal contributions by creating schools, hospitals, and women's residences. Thousands were directly benefited and even more, were given hope (Hedges 5). A majority of work to help the poor was done by the María Eva Duarte de Perón Welfare Foundation. Thanks to finance contributions, the foundation was able to distribute multiple different necessary items: food, clothes, money and medicine.
When living in Arizona her mom was a preschool teacher and one of the students was diagnosed with Diabetes. She was able to help the little girl and her family get through the tough time and be a big role model to her. Fernihough said that Diabetes has allowed her to see everything in a new way. She has a new perspective on life that most people don’t have. Diabetes has changed Fernihough for the better and has allowed her to tell her impactful story.

She used compassion and her sense of duty to found the Sisters of Mercy and change the lives of a multitude of people around the globe. Founder of a plethora of Mercy schools, Catherine never faltered in her mission to provide those in need with the amount of faith and virtue that was essential in bringing hope to those she touched. Catherine McCauley first used zeal to apply her passion to her mission. As defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary, Zeal is “eagerness and ardent interest in pursuit of something.” Catherine chose this virtue because in order to achieve success in one’s mission, a passion to help is crucial.
SHGs have not only produced tangible assets and improved 60 living conditions of the members but also helped in changing much of their social outlook and attitudes. In the study area SHGs have served the cause of women empowerment, social solidarity and socio-economic betterment of the poor. In all stages of economic and social activities, involvement of women becomes essential. SHGs have encouraged women to take active part in the socioeconomic progress of our nation. The impact of participation on social front could be assessed mainly in improvement of level of equality of life, health, standard of living.
Mother Theresa was a religious icon who manifested humanitarian aid on the pretense of religious mandate. She is commonly known for her donations to charity and her contributions in the fight against poverty. She is known to have built multiple homes for the misfortunate, soup kitchens, mobile clinics, orphanages and more. Mother Teresa is largely celebrated not only for her generosity but also she plays a significant role in allowing the poor to access spiritual solace. In the year 1997, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her impeccable contributions to poverty combat which was seen as a threat to peace.
It not only helps in the development of half of the human resources, but in improving the quality of life at home and outside. Educated women not only tend to promote education of their girl children, but also can provide better guidance to all their children. Moreover educated women can also help in the reduction of infant mortality rate and growth of the population. Obstacles: Gender discrimination still persists in India and lot more needs to be done in the field of women's education in India. The gap in the male-female literacy rate is just a simple indicator.
