The question we all are asking, who is the most significant Renaissance Artist? The most significant artist is Leonardo Da Vinci. He is the greatest because showed Realism and Humanism in most of his art.

The renaissance was a time of art and rebirth. Many great artists appeared during this time bringing their own individual skills and talent. These artists were Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael. However out of the four, Leonardo was the most significant. Not only was he a great artist, but an inventor, engineer, and scientist. He was by far the greatest renaissance artist.

During the early Renaissance period there were many iconic artists some of which specialized in different aspects of art, such as, painters, sculptors, architects, and etc. These iconic artists played a special role in the Renaissance period of Europe. Renaissance meaning the cultural rebirth of Europe. It was during this time that new discoveries were brought about such as, technology, styles of art, new architectural designs, and many more. A special artist who contributed greatly to this was Filippo Brunelleschi. His greatest accomplishment would have to be the construction and creation of the Dome of Florence. Brunelleschi lived from 1377-1446 and

Giovanni Bellini, an Italian renaissance painter. He came from a family of artists but not much is known about this part of his life, his career on the other hand is a major focus of Renaissance advances. His skills brought realism to paintings that weren’t there before. Without him, realism painting may never have taken off, plus historical understanding of his time may never had advanced in the ways it did. Giovanni Bellini was an Italian hand to sway the tide of artistic history.

Leonardo da Vinci was the most influential Renaissance artist because he used scientific observations in art by studying human anatomy, observing nature, and using realism in his pieces. By bringing science into the art world, da Vinci made progress in observations and inventions that would be and become relevant to modern day. Da Vinci was known as a “Renaissance man” (an man and artist with many curiosities). Not only did he study art, but he wanted to learn more about technology, nature and anatomy. His interest in anatomy led Da Vinci to perform dissections on cadavers (corpses) to learn more about the human body. In his research, Leonardo learned more about how to draw the human body in a realistic way, something that previous artists

Michelangelo was one of the most influential and significant people that lived during the Renaissance period. The Renaissance, meaning 'rebirth ', was a significant time in European history that existed between the 14th and the 16th century. It was a time that led to development and change in literature, arts, architecture and philosophy. Michelangelo was very fortunate to live in this period as it brought him great success, especially in art and architecture. Not only did he learn from this new way of thinking, but as he progressed in his career, he also had and still has, a major influence on many other artists, worldwide.

Michelangelo had a gigantic influence on the renaissance. He was a master at both painting and sculpting, he also was an architect, engineer, and poet. During his day he was unbeatable in his painting and sculpting skills. He had many artist study under him and help him with painting the Sistine Chapel in Vatican, but none were on par with him.

Leonardo da Vinci was a man who “could not separate science from art… He did not distinguish between them; they were present simultaneously” (PUCEKOVIĆ 34). Before painting, he would make numerous sketches of perspective and observations in his notebook. He was a polymath who constantly sought to further his knowledge

Art was a major part of the renaissance period and many people became artists. They were not thought to be special even though they created some of the grandest monuments in history. They were usually educated people in the middle class. Architects usually became artists. Some other artists known

Rembrandt was an influential artist during what the historians call the Dutch Golden Age. As a young man he was well known for his many portraits and Christian paintings, but his older years were full of money problems and grief. Born July 15, 1606 Rembrandt would grow up to be an amazing painter. He once said the reason he painted was “emotion” or “motion” of his outstanding Christian works. He painted many self-portrait and had quite a few talented apprentices over the years.

The High Renaissance was about naturalism and the artists from that time captured that ideal in impeccable detail, creating art that was and still is something to marvel at. One example of this is Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna of the Rocks (Fig 17-2, 1483-1490, oil on wood (transferred to canvas)).

During the Renaissance, there was a lot of artworks and creations. The art varied from paintings to sculptures. some of the famous artists during this time were Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello. These artists have created amazing works and have more than likely inspired many artists around the world today. These artists have created a huge impact on the importance of art along with giving more of a historic background. Each artist paints and or sculpts pieces that show human emotions, religious symbolism, and extreme detail.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is located in Los Angeles and is owned by the city of Los Angeles. It was built in 1910 near the University of Southern California. Howard F. Ahmanson but only established as a Los Angeles County Museum In 1961. LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States.

Most people know Leonardo Da Vinci as being painter but he was also a sculptor, architect, engineer, musician, inventor and scientist. Da Vinci was a hard worker and had a creative soul that reflected in all his work. From the Renaissance to present day Leonardo Da Vinci work is still admired and constantly influences people all around the world. Leonardo Da Vinci was one of the most gifted, well rounded artist of the Renaissance. This can been proven through research and collected data.

Leonardo da Vinci was a talented scientist, inventor, painter of the Renaissance europe. Modern scholars referred to him as "the most perfect representative of the Renaissance", is unique in the history of mankind all rounder, his greatest achievement is his masterpiece of painting, "Monalisa", "the last supper", "virgin of the rocks" and other works, reflects his superb artistic attainments. He believes that the most beautiful object of nature is the human body, the human body is a wonderful work of nature, painters should be the core of the object of painting.
