When forming the United States, our founding fathers used the Romans ancient society as a structure for America. This ancient t model allowed America, early and modern alike, to spiral and become an outstanding figure in global affairs. Although the united states and rome are very different they are also alike in many ways. Rome and the United states are similar because they both have a dying middle class and they both had a generalized law. However they are different because Rome was common for emperors to have enemies killed, but murder is not accept in America.

Many people argue that the culture of the Ancient Romans reflect that of the United States today. While there have been many advancements over the course of the years, a few basic principles still apply and can be seen in the United States today. Although there a few key differences that can be seen between the two cultures, it is important that one focuses on similarities to see how the United States has developed as a whole. Roman culture was similar to what the United States is today by the form of government and types of entertainment.

Rome and America have strong armies but had smaller population but had better armory and soldiers.Rome and America have amazing buildings that can go though extreme weather for hundreds of years with out crumbling it the building may look rusty cause it is.We also have taxes no one wants them but every one had to pay them even 1000 years ago.

With the Rome Empire being in power well a thousand years before the United States of America were even English colonies let alone a growing a country, you would think that the would be very different in all aspects. This is true for many aspects for the two civilizations, but a few aspects share similarities between the two. One of these aspect is the military policy that both civilizations had. The military policy that these two civilizations had impacted them in different and similar ways.

Rome had a better system than Athens because of their process of citizenship, their citizens’ contributions society, and amazing government system.

They influenced almost every part of today’s world, such as government, language, and architecture, as well as making scientific advancements. Also, the successes of these two civilizations lead to many countries modeling most of their public facilities and systems after the ones found in Greece and Rome.

Roman government was very similar to the U.S in different ways. It states in Document 1, that their government is organized by three branches, which is also how the U.S government is organized. The names of ours branches were also the same names of the Roman government. Rome had judges who did similar jobs as judges today in the U.S. They also had 2 leaders who severed one one year terms while the U.S has one leader who has at least one 4 year

Comparing Athens and Rome could also be thought of as comparing a flea, and an elephant. They have many differences, but are also surprisingly similar. So, who had the better system? The Roman Republic had a more established government, because citizenship was based on behavior, people had more liberties and freedoms, and Rome had a more secure government.

Rome has a better system than Athens in my opinion. Athens citizens have more responsibility and rights then Rome. Rome has more of a family oriented style of citizenship. Athens and rome both honored citizenship in their own ways equally. So in a effective way to live I’d say Rome is superior. Athens can be good, they have more independence for their freedom, they are all equal to each other in superiority, and they were more physical because they were required to participate in government otherwise they were a “beast”. Rome on the other hand, was bigger in size compared to Athens, Roman’s were not considered a “beast” for not participating, there was more citizenship participants that were more genuine than Athen’s.

Both Greece and Rome experience an incredible golden age. However all good things must come to an end. Greek culture was combined with Roman culture to make the empire of Rome prosper. Though Greece and Rome fell, the world wouldn't be where we are without their achievement from their golden ages.
