Because of Militarism many countries grew their armies which led to tension between countries about having strenght and power due to their army sizes. 3. Imperialism was most likely the third cause of the war because Germany and Italy wanted to have a colonial empire which led to conflict and disputes about land ownership because having more land equals having more power and wealth. 4. The last cause of the war was probably Nationalism because it only created pride in their country about which was the best, it was the reason that
War broke out in 1914 due to forces that had been building up in Europe for years. While the Allies blamed Germany for the war too harshly, its actions certainly did directly contribute to World War I, as did those of Austria Hungary. However, each country involved fostered militarism in their country, and became in entrenched in the web of alliances and race for imperial power, all causes of the environment that led to the Great War. Therefore, it could be said that all European countries were responsible, in part, for World War I, as reflected in Documents 5, 6, and 7.
Comparison between ww1 and ww2 World War 1 The first world war was started in 1914 and ended in 1918, this was also the first war ever fought on such a large scale in the history of Man kind .it involved thirty-one nations from five different continent. Causes of the war The causes of the war was Extreme nationalism, Armaments race, Alliance System , Economic and colonial conflicts as Britain became the most powerful nation in the world other European powers ,such as France and Germany , also speeded up their industrialization .
World War one had many devastating impact on the soldiers. There were four trends that led to the world war. Some of them were Nationalism, Militarism, Imperialism and the Alliance System. Some allies in the system were France, Britain and Russia. Nationalism was devotion to the interests and culture of one’s nation.
In the Great War, many soldiers were losing their lives in the field. The alliance that were in the war, were ultimately fighting for the desire of power. Countries like Germany and Austria-Hungary that were a part of the war wanted to be in control of as much as they could. This caused a lot of tension with the Triple Entente, which was an alliance between France, Great Britain, and Russia. With all them waiting to be the best of the best, Austria-Hungary and Germany had to up their military and have their people ready to fight any war.
It’s 1939, Hitler has risen to power wreaking havoc on other countries. This is the start of what is known as WWII. Taking a few steps back is WWI. It all started in 1914 and ended in 1918, this is commonly referred to as the “Great War”. This war dealt with the Triple Alliance, the Triple Entente, the Central Powers, and the Allies.
In 1914-1918 there was a large war with many countries, peace was not a consideration. Not only did grown men were forced to fight in the war but boys that just graduated high school were forced, and died in war. “ what was the underlying cause of world war I?” one of the major cause of the war was militarism out of one of the four. The other three ar alliances, imperialism, and nationalism, but i 'm only walking about three of them, not nationalism.
Causes of World War I World War I was the bar fight of all bar fights and was expected to end quickly. Unfortunately, the treacherous battle field held soldier's longer than expected. At first, Europe had been flourishing with colonies worldwide and had developed in technology greatly.
Some of those reasons include alliances, militarism, and imperialism. Alliances was one of the underlying causes of this war. Alliances are agreements between countries stating that they’ll help each other in time of need. For example, as shown in document A, the United Kingdom, France, and Russia all had an alliance with each other called the “triple entente”.
Document A ‘‘European Alliances, 1914’’ shows us the different types of alliances that nations had with each other. Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy were known as the Triple Alliance. There was also the Triple Entente, an alliance between France, Great Britain and Russia. Alliances helped cause the war because nations would be against each other and they would also want to be dominant. Although there were many reasons that caused World War I, Militarism, Imperialism, and Allies were the main factors.
Due to their stubbornness, millions of people had to pay the price with their lives. In conclusion, three main reasons caused the United States to join the horrifying effects of World War I. These three events were the sinking of the merchant ship Lusitania, the Zimmermann Telegram, and the sinking of several U.S ships. All of these events were caused by Germany to further anger the United States.
Germany, Italy and others, including the United States wanted to expand their empires
World War I (WWI) and World War II (WWII) had many causes. They also had many devastating effects on the world. They both have one main similarity and difference for both the causes and effects of the wars. The main similarity in the causes of both wars was imperialism, but the main difference was that WWII had appeasement; the main similarity in the effects of both wars was that there were many political tensions leftover that caused another war, but the main difference was that after WWII, the United Nations (UN) was created.
The causes of World War I The many different causes of World War 1 were quite brief with excruciating fatalities. There were many innocent people who were just living a regular life didn’t know what was about to hit them. People like to say that there were five different causes of World war 1. Those causes were nationalism, imperialism, militarism, alliancism, and assassination.
The Causes of the First World War Carmen There were quite a few causes of the first world war (WW1). The long-term causes were the militarism, alliance system, imperialism and nationalism- MAIN. The short-term cause was the fact that Austria-Hungary blamed Serbia for killing Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. I personally think the most significant cause to WW1 is the alliance system and here, I will justify why I think like this. I think the most significant cause of WW1 was the alliance system.
