Later on, they decide to get married secretly because of their family rivalry. Friar Lawrence is the character who is most responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. He came up with the crazy plan that led to their eventual death. Since he didn’t make sure that the information about the plan was delivered to Romeo on time, it caused a lot of confusion. After Juliet woke up and saw that Romeo was dead, Friar Lawrence left her alone in Capulet’s tomb instead of making sure she wouldn’t do anything dangerous.
How much can you compromise for love? Would you risk as much as Romeo and Juliet? The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, is a play about a girl and a boy that were forbidden to love each other because they came from rivaling families. The play begins with Romeo lovesick for another girl, Rosaline, but his friends bribe him to go to the Capulet feast and there he saw Juliet. He forgot about Rosaline and falls in love with Juliet.
But If Romeo and Juliet never met so many things would have happened differently. Romeo is to blame for the deaths of him and Juliet, Getting exiled from the town, and Juliet and Paris aren 't getting married. Romeo came into the picture and ruined the plans that Juliet’s family had set out for her. Since Romeo came to the Capulet’s party he and Juliet laid eyes on each other and instantly fell in love. This messed everything up because that is where Juliet and Paris were supposed to meet.
Paris was only at the tomb to say his goodbyes to his wife, who didn’t get to be his wife. Making him in the wrong place at the wrong time. Romeo also wanted to say his goodbyes to his actual wife and the world. He planned on killing himself with poison. Paris, being the heroic person that he his, decided he would stop Romeo and take him to the Prince, who earlier banished Romeo from Verona.
In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo would sneak out to see Juliet. Juliet would also hide Romeo, and that would be dangerous because if the guards saw him, he would be done for or maybe just kicked out. Also The Friar Lawrence even married them in secret ( act 2 scene 2 ). And even in the Prologue it says “A pair of Star crossed lover give their life today”, which from right their we already knew Romeo and Juliet were in love. Juliet and the Friar even made a plan, because Juliet 's father ( Mr.Capulet ) moved the wedding day for her to marry Paris closer so Juliet had to fake her death.
Romeo and Juliet was made by Shakespeare he wrote in between 1594-1595. Romeo and Juliet was written about two lovers who are not supposed to be in love there family feud was a domestic conflict. Romeo and Juliet was still passionate to get married although they did get married Romeo by the help of Juliet nurse and the preacher but romeo end up killing Juliet cousin Tybalt after he killed Romeo best friend Mercutio. The cops where after Romeo they wanted to kill him so he left and head out his preacher Frair was giving him notes form him and Juliet. Juliet was supposed to get married to a guy named Paris but she did not want to get married to him her parents got very angry and said many harsh thing she went to the preacher and he gave her a liquid or poison that put her to sleep but everything would stop she would be cold so everyone would think she would be dead so she wouldn 't have to get married Romeo never got the letters that Frair sent to him and when he heard the news that she was dead he bought poison and when she woke to see him dead she killed her self with a knife next to him .
Some people may think that throughout the play both Romeo and Juliet could have chosen a better option based on the actions they did. Throughout the play Romeo and Juliet acted like unknowledgeable children. This ended up possibly causing Romeo and Juliet to make a lot of bad decisions. For one, Romeo went to the Capulet’s dinner party even though he knew that their family hated his. Even though he recognized the intense tension he ignored that fact and still went.
Romeo found out about the party from a servant who could not read. One of the first bad decisions Romeo made was to chose to go to that party for a girl named Rosaline. When he sees Juliet, he completely forgets about Rosaline (Shakespeare, Act I, Scene ii, Page 385). This evidence shows how Romeo is immature and “falls in love” very quickly.
Insert quote from the text about when romeo decides to go to the Capulet party. His daring decision caused him to meet Juliet in the first place which then led to him falling in love with her even though they only knew each other for less than a day. While at the party, Romeo also encounters Tybalt and he tries to tell his uncle, Juliet’s father, that a Montague is att their party and that he should be thrown out. However, this does not stop Romeo from staying at the party. Insert quote from text about tybalt trying to get romeo kicked
Another topic I will be covering is love at first sight. Romeo and Juliet went to Friar Lawrence for advice during their difficult moments. In the beginning of the story, Romeo thinks he’s in love with Rosaline. As she does not return his affections, Benvolio tells him that he should forget her and find another woman but Romeo doesn’t budge. While this is happening, Pairs is wanting to marry Juliet so he invites her to a Capulet ball where Rosaline is also attending.
