The Renaissance began in Italy around 1300. There were leading figures to help contribute to the Renaissance. These nine artists impacted their time as well as modern society. These men and women contributed to society in ways that left an enduring impact. They consisted of artist, architects, engineers, writers, scientist, queens, and playwrights. Clearly, these nine artists impacted modern society.

Andreas Vesalius impacted our generation through science, being a Belgian scientist. He is often called “ the founder of modern human anatomy ” He impacted modern society studying anatomy, discovering the heart has four chambers. He later went on to write a series of books about anatomy. Clearly, Andreas Vesalius impacted modern society with his awe - inspiring discoveries in anatomy.

PART 6: Isabella I Isabella I impacted her time and Spain, as well as modern society, as Queen of Spain. As queen, she supported art and collected paintings. She brought together the whole nation of Spain. She encouraged exploration, and funded Christopher Columbus to find the New World. Clearly, as queen of Spain she impacted modern society.
