Truett Cathy came almost from nothing and grew up creating something that changed Western Culture. Truett originally was gonna sell by the poundage, but no one knew how many pounds they would need. So, Truett started selling by the nugget amount. The kids ended up loving the nuggets. So Truett decided to make them the center of their new idea, Kid’s meals. Truett’s family was fully involved in the business. Jeanette would help the customers. The kids even had their own little tasks. They would go around, ask people for orders, while a waitress wrote it all down. Doing this made customers feels like family. After they had gotten the business going smoothly the restaurant in Forest Park burned down. Truett decided to rebuild where people would stand up and order. Nobody liked this idea. Another thing that makes him stand out is when he opens a restaurant he makes sure it is running well before he leaves and opens another one. Truett only opens about seventy a year. They never offer stock to their employees. Truett said if he did and the employees didn’t get the expected amount he would feel obliged to make up the money to the stock holders. The main thing that has revolutionized the company was Truett mind set. HE didn’t even believe the company was his. It was God’s; Truett just operates it and take care of the employees.
