Interpersonal Communication
The means through which people exchange information and feelings either by verbal or non-verbal communication is called interpersonal communication. In this type of communication, what matters is not just about what is being said, or how the language is constructed. Instead, it focuses on how a person delivers his thoughts to another. Because there are many concepts associated with interpersonal communication, this paper will focus on how interpersonal communication affects long-distance relationships.

Through this, partners are able to fully understand their relationship. To do this, there are ways to keep interpersonal communication healthy. First, partners must talk about their needs and desires. In here, Besski (2013) argued that parties engaged in a relationship must understand each other 's views on issues so that they are able to find a common ground and keep themselves happy despite their differences. Second, it is vital to be open and sincere. Meaning, partners should express anything that bothers them (Besski, 2013). The more that communication is kept poor, the more that those issues are kept inside. This somehow weakens a relationship because honesty is a principal thing, most especially in long distance relationships. Third, communication also means building trust. Besski (2013) contended that partners must know each other 's boundaries. Hence, one person should not only love another for what he or she is, but also for what he or she is not. It is also important to note that partners must be able to keep their communication regular. They can even be creative about it. When a person exerts an effort, his or her partner will feel loved and attended

For instance, being in a loving romantic relationship is not an effortless relationship to achieve; it takes arduous effort to be romantically connected to one’s mate. It is important to have intimacy, passion, and commitment in a romantic relationship. My wife and I work hard to achieve all three of these vital components of romance.
The three concepts of interpersonal communication I used above is what I believe it’s easier for me to use. Communication is indeed important for a relationship to work. If avoiding and competing are in your relationship you'll likely end up being like Daniel and Miranda in the movie call “Mrs. Doubtfire.” After a sudden divorce, Daniel disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend time with his children. Even Though it makes him uncomfortable he still does it because all he want is to be with his children.

Over the years, mass communication has been defined in several ways. While some view it as a process, others perceive it as a skill. But apart from these two classifications, I particularly view mass communication as a tool since it is an essential device that can be used in one’s everyday life. It is an instrument all humans can make use of in delivering their intended messages to their family, friends and even to strangers. Charles Berger and Richard Calabrese suggested the same perception as they proposed their theory called the Uncertainty Reduction Theory.
Anyhow, is important to know that the missing piece of a relationship is communication, and understand that men and women are different. Although Tannen, in Sex, Lies, and Conversation, states that communication manners vary from men and women, causing conflict; however, Judy Brady,
Communication is a critical foundation of every relationship; without it the relationship is deemed unsuccessful. Unsuccessful communication can result in constant tension, power inequalities and disagreements. Relational Dialectics is a communication theory, formed by Leslie Baxter and Barbara Montgomery, in which personal relationships are judged upon the management of tension produced by contradictory forces. (Thrift, 2017). Each of the contradictory forces contain two components, an internal source, between the individuals in the relationship and and external source, which is interference from the outside world.
Yet, one thing still remained – our interpersonal communication. We still exchange information. We still speak about our feelings, through verbal and non-verbal messages. Over time, myriads of professors have developed different theories that humans communicate.
