How can this affect Canada? Currently, Environment Canada is keeping a close eye on this situation because of the damage it may cause on Canada. Although the chances are extremely low, we are still encouraged to observe carefully. Hurricane Matthew is said to impact southwestern New Brunswick over to southwestern Newfoundland and Labrador. Even if it weren’t to hit Canada I still think that it is extremely important for people all around Canada to have awareness about the Hurricane that is devastating other countries, not only because it will help us realize what is going on around the world, but it can also encourage citizens to help those in need that have been struck by Hurricane
Pierre Elliott Trudeau has rightly been described as one of Canada’s most controversial Prime Ministers. Elected in 1968, this former law professor and writer used his charisma and intellect to dominate Canadian politics for almost two decades. His long stint in power as prime minister is remarkable given Trudeau’s often unpredictable behavior and disastrous initiatives. Prime Minister Trudeau came into power during a very tumultuous time in Canada’s history. Forced to deal with crisis after crisis, he enacted many polarizing policies that were popular with some but despised by others.
The first world war was a destructive deathly conflict, which killed thousands of Canadian men while altering Canada 's society forever, but it was also a unifying and altering conflict, changing the definition of Canadian forever. World war one unified this country, but at the same time grieved and divided its people. Canada entered the war just as a mere British colony and came out as an incredible fighting force led by one of its own men. 619,636 men and women entered to fight for their country, having only 1 out of every 10 return.
“The good the bad and the ugly” is a saying that could be used to describe the time period in which World War Two took place, especially in Canada. World War Two was a devastating time in the world, with millions of lives lost, many people would say that no good came out of the war. That statement is true to a certain extent, but if a closer look is taken about what happened in Canada during the war, plenty of good would be discovered. The war definitely contributed many positive aspects to the growth of Canada. Changes in the economy, the growing role of women, and an abundance of Canadian pride during those years has helped shape Canada into what it is today.
ISIS has had probably one of the biggest impacts on Canada ever since Justin Trudeau has started to let refugees or immigrants into Canada, some of those refugees and immigrants are part of ISIS. The first reason ISIS has made an impact is that they have been trying to kill people, but a lot of the people who tried killing people failed and have been sent to court. Some of the examples are. September 25th an ISIS member tried killing a police officer at 10:04pm after running the cop over with a silver chevy and getting out and stabbing the cop 8 times in the legs and running off into a u-haul van.
Donald Trump is the 45th, and current, president of the U.S. He took office on January 20, 2017. These are three reasons on why I think Donald Trump had an impact on Canada in 2017. One reason Donald Trump has had an impact on Canada in 2017 would be the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). It is a treaty that is signed by Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Over the past 150 years there has been 18 hurricanes/tropical storms that have hit nova scotia, Hurricane Juan was the third most recent striking in 2003 before hurricane Juan there was 8 category one hurricanes, one category two ,and 2 category threes, 7 years after hurricane Juan there was a category 4 hurricane and 4 years after that a category 2. Based on the number of years between each hurricane they seem to be becoming more frequent and will continue to happen more often because of global warming and the earth becoming warmer and since the earth is becoming warmer the ocean heats up, Since hurricanes are created from the warm air from the ocean rising and building up, making this giant storm. it will become more frequent due to the more warm air in the oceans building up. On May 22, 2014 a news item was released by environment Canada stating that hurricane season runs from june until november this is because the waters in the atlantic ocean are finally warm enough to start creating tropical cyclones and early that day the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) predicted 8-13 named storms, 3-6 hurricanes and 1-2 major hurricanes. Meteorologists can predict hurricanes based on their seasonal possibilities and then after they 've been formed there able to track them using satellites and Doppler radar and predict where they will make landfall.
World war one has a huge impact even in today’s society because if it had no effect Canadians wouldn’t have Remembrance Day. We respect the soldiers that gave up their lives for this country which also tragically ruined families. The war lasted four years and the soldiers’ families and friends kept getting bad news or no news at all. Canadians all over contributed in some way feeling some loyalty towards Europe. Women would volunteer overseas as nurses and children took over the farms.
The War of 1812 was extremely important to Canada. It was Canada’s first war, prevented America from controlling Canada, as well as, strengthened the connection between the British colonies. The countries that were involved in the war were mainly the U.S.A and the British colonies in America (Canada), but Britain and France were also included. Britain capturing U.S. sailors and disturbing trade between the U.S. and France, Manifest Destiny, and the Quebec Act of 1774 all helped cause the War of 1812. The battle of Detroit was one of the important battles in the war in which the British forces were the first to attack.

INTRODUCTION Catastrophes affect humanity all the time but two of the most memorable in history are Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Harvey. Hurricanes are first seen from the satellite. This means that the hurricanes are spotted right away, it gets predicted where its going to impact first and how strong it can be when it hits the ground. These hurricanes are extremely dangerous because of its high-speed winds it comes with and the amount of rain produced by them, this makes it worst because they can last for days.
The Impact of Jazz on Canada in the 20th Century Though not an entirely Canadian concept, jazz had a significant impact in Canada in the years 1918-1950. Early jazz music in Canada was dependent on touring artists from American cities, who would occasionally perform in cities near the border.n Canada, jazz music was still in its infancy, whereas jazz was “born” in 1895 in the US. Jelly Roll Morton was one of the first Americans to tour in Canada, performing in Vancouver cabarets from 1919-1921. The genre made its way into Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal independently, each city having their own scene.
The impact of WW2 played a major role in helping Canada become a more strong, united nation, with equality, respect, and human rights. To begin with, before WWII there was lots of discrimination shown towards minority groups and many other cultures in Canada and because of this Canada created some inhumane mistakes. Canada allowed internment, allowed residential schools, and violation of human rights. When the Holocaust started it was like an eye opener for Canadians because they started to experience what the Holocaust underwent. This made Canadians realize that what they had done was wrong.
