There are only 458 people who are deceased have donated their organs from 1976 to March 31 2014. There are only 250,052 people or less than one percent of the nation population which is 30 million that have agreed to donate their organs for the patients. People do not take this matter seriously as they are not concern about other lives. Government should play an important to support organ donation among the society. Malaysia government has collaborated with some agencies and non-governmental organisations, organised a campaign to help the society create awareness to register as organ donors to save lives ( Sarban 2014). The purpose of the campaign is to educate people about the importance of organ donation as the number of patients who need organs transplant is increasing everyday. Public awareness of organ donation can bring more outcomes than they had expected. In Joanna MacKay's article, 'Organ Selling Will Save Lives", sides with the legalization of organ selling, due to her main focus she emphasizes on kidney failure. In ignorance of government, patients all over the globe are dying on the wait for a kidney transplant. She presents her ideas that government should not prohibit the sale of organs. She writes "lives shouldn’t be wasted they should be saved". Her thesis is understandable and she supports it with good reasons.
An examination of the study reveals complex safety health issues on the donor and recipient, lack of moral justifications, spiritual conflicts, and violation of constitutional rights. This includes the preferable choice of donation rather than sale.
