Suspense plays a huge role in how a story flows. Suspense can put the reader on the edge and wonder what is next. This is shown in Richard Connell’s fiction short story, “The Most Dangerous Game”. Richard Connell creates suspenseful moments throughout the short story through a handful of different ways. Such as setting the mood, to ambiguity. However, Richard Connell creates suspense for the reader in his short story “The Most Dangerous Game” through foreshadowing and his descriptions. Connell’s short story is scattered with multiple examples of foreshadowing and descriptions of the setting/various different characters, here are some examples of them. Foreshadowing is shown throughout the story, an example of this is show in section 34-35.
