After being robbed, Santiago finds himself of needing money so he finds a job and works for a man by selling glass. After he gets enough money he goes back on his journey. He joins a group called the caravan and learns a lot from being there. His setback from his journey made him realize how he has to pay more attention to things and makes sure not to repeat the same things he has done. This setback is called the “ approach” and it is pretty much used as a preparation for the big upcoming events in the journey. When Santiago meets the Alchemist, he transforms into a new and improved person. With this, he realizes many things and confesses that his love for a woman named Fatima is worth a lot more than the treasure his needs to find. The alchemist
