Reading habit is an essential and important aspect for crating the literate society in this world. It is a vital skill for people have different education background. Shaping the characteristics of an individual, it helps people to develop the proper thinking methods and creating new ideas. As it provides important functions to people, kids are educated to develop their reading habit from an early age. As the information technology is improving rapidly nowadays, the way students interact with information increase and the opportunities to enrich their knowledge increase as well. From the journal “Impact of new technology on reading habits: a glimpse on world literature”, Mr. Loan uses a wide range of resources in his article to strengthen his view point that people are using the new technology for more entertainment purpose and their reading habits a heavily influenced by the technology. He sets out different research paper in front of the readers. He states “These new gadgets of technology have become the “Time Eating Machines” and all are thrilling with one another for their supremacy.” and “Reading has almost become a closed book.” The strength of the article is that the article is well structured and it uses a large amount of research paper to illustrate his view point, which increases his credibility. However, his uses too much sweeping statement and without proving, making his article less credible. Like “Every new media of information and communication technology (ICT) has been a threat to man’s interest in reading.” I personally think that although the information technology is slightly changing our reading habit, but it is not like it provides absolute zero
