Is Technology Really Helping The Students? So the big question is ¨is technology really helping the students?¨ High School and even elementary students from grades lowest to the third grade. Their are so many other things the students could be doing while ¨doing their homework¨ independently at their desk. It's a huge distraction and should have been thought out a little better. Technology is not as helpful as administrators believe because students take advantage of the privilege.

All the websites that the students would get into while they are supposed to be doing other things. Listening to music or playing games or looking up the answers to the homework and not learning anything out of it. Yes, we will get good grades on the homework, but when it comes to the test and most of the class fails it that's a problem, or when it comes to the final tests at the end of the year and the percentages are so low and no one can figure out why. It is easier for the teachers instead of having to schedule their time in the computer labs to work with the other teachers. It gives the students to look up answers quickly without having to ask the teacher if he/she is helping someone else at the moment. The teachers do a good job with the chromebooks with having some backup plans if the internet or the chromebooks just aren't working for the day. They can be helpful in many ways as long as the students are mature enough to do
