What happened to Makayla was unfortunate but most of all it was shocking. When hearing about gun violence, teenagers are usually the most common victims. In this situation,for the victim to be eight and the killer to be eleven, it opened the eyes of a lot of people. This day in society kids are exposed to more television, violent video games, and violent environments more than ever before. If the little boy killed a little girl over a puppy, it makes you wonder what factors are playing an even bigger part in the home.
The causes lead to school shooters who go into schools either with targets or to show their power and they try to harm others. After the attack, the effects can be severe considering it can cause physical and mental issues to the victims or witnesses. This controversial and seriously impacting tragedy has made a huge impact on the world and many are trying to find ways to stop it. There are many layers to school shooting that the world needs to understand. School shootings which are usually done by males (aged 13-18), mostly happen during the school day.
Even with all of this negative correlation between media and violence, this type of media will always be around. People know that things like action movies, violent cartoons, and suspenseful novels will never fail to be around. Certain violent programs in current days show an increase in aggressive actions more than mystery and adventure. When a child does not have privacy, it can reveal the embarrassing moments of them on TV. According to the article “Should Kids Be on Reality TV?” by Justin O’Neill, child psychiatrist Dr. Allison Baker states, “experiencing public humiliation like Rachel did may damage one’s self-esteem.” These facts reveal that when cameras follow you every day, they can capture something about you which causes other kids to laugh about. When everyone is making fun of this child who did something embarrassing, it can cause the kid to feel miserable about themselves.
Have you ever imagined growing up on a life of drugs, war, crime, and seeing things that many adults won’t dare to ever see? In many countries around the world, this is what many children have to deal with. There is an occurring issue of people across Africa and parts of Asia using children as soldiers in war. They act and take upon the roles of real combatants, causing the people of the public to act in different ways. It’s been well documented that these children have used guns and war tactics, and committed various illegal and illicit acts of violence.
Those in movies and television shows are more likely to encounter violence than what people are in real life. The consumption of violence through television has caused a fear of others, and constant on-edge feeling for many viewers. Long-term exposure has causes an image of mean and dangerous people outnumbering altruistic, harmless, and nonviolent (Bryant & Zillmann, 2002).
So, some people are violent through heredity. Also, watching violent movies, TV shows, or even angry neighbors play a significant role increasing the violent behavior of the people. For example, a kid watch a cartoon or a movie that contains violence. He would start thinking as in order to get whatever he wants, he should be violence for it, furthermore he might end up in jail and still thinking violence is okay. However, many actions and habits are explained by either biologically or learned from the environment.
The recent increase of hate group activity has led up to a more dystopian society considering that utopian is a society in which everyone is equal. The drastic increase in drugs and drug addiction contributes to the downward spiral of living in a dystopian society. The effects of drugs can negatively impact a users health, which can often lead to sickness, disease or death. As well as drugs, violence in the United States is also increasing. It can cause PTSD in young children and babies that have experienced violence inside a household.
Most of the time, it could be seen as giving a name or mocking with physical appearance, but sometimes it can include violence; however, both of them can affect bullied students ' life negatively and permanently. There are two main effects of bullying on students who are bullied. First of all, when students are bullied in school there may face with relationship problems. To start with, bullied children may experience social relationship problems because of the things s/he went through. Due to lack of confidence and insecurities, they may refuse to socialize.

War in foreign lands along with daily reports of murder, rape, and robberies also heighten a child’s perception of potential violence” (Anderson n.p.) Violence in this tale is extremely important because of the changing behavior in society.
Terror wasn’t just after the Civil War it is also in today. Many people are affected by it. For the many who know it can put fear in a person’s mind, once they know fear they try to avoid it. That will not work if US citizens avoid the threat of terrorism we are doomed! We have to open our eyes and look at the bigger picture, that there is a chance that you can die every day, a person can see whatever they want in a tv, but when they actually experience they are mind blown.
