The theme of the fictional story Rikki-tikki-tavi by Rudyard Kipling is, when it comes to having to fight someone bigger, and maybe physically stronger than you, it's all about how much heart you have. Rikki Tikki is a brave character in this story. Rikki Tikki was brave when he, jumped and as his teeth met nags head, Rikki braced his back against the bulge of the red earthenware to hold down the head. This gave him just one second’s purchase,and he made the most of it by killing nag the cobra, (para#58). Nagaina, another character in the story is reckless when she wanted to take the garden back by killing the family and eventually killing Rikki Tikki. She wanted to do that, so they could have peace and quiet without having to worry about a mongoose patrolling the garden, and getting to them or their kids(para#51). The evidence demonstrates the character trait by showing when nagaina is reckless, she always wants to kill and fight so she can get her way everything. This character trait is similar to Rikki Tikki’s, because they are both reckless. Like in the story, when they both get very vicious when something as little as threatening or planning takes place. The character trait is different from Rikki Tikki’s because, tn the story he is not reckless because he had to try and sneak up on Nag, Nagaina’s husband so he can kill him, and stop them from killing Rikki Tikki’s family.
