Is America Spending too much of its GDP on foreign affairs? A lot of Americans will agree that the federal government of America is spending too much on foreign affairs, such as foreign aid. If the government did this, there would be more money to go towards the national debt, help stop conflicts between America and other countries, and instead of allocating employment towards military defense, and used towards more productive employment opportunities. The United States federal government should decrease the percentage of income in which they spend on foreign aid. In 2013, the Gross-Domestic-Product for the US was 16.8 trillion USD.
