Ethics are “rules” or guidelines that people should follow. In the veterinary world, the ethics are set by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). The NAVTA has a code of ethics that focuses on both practicing medicine and protecting the profession. (Prendergast) Veterinarians are members of the AVMA who have earned an academic degree to practice medicine and adhere to progressive codes of ethical conduct; this is known as the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics (PVME). (AVMA) Ethics are set up to hold veterinary staff to high standards and good moral consciousness.
Animal experiments are widely used in the process of developing new medicines and in testing the safety of a certain product. It is normal for an experimenter working in the medical research institution to use animals as their test subjects for experiments and research. This is because of the procedure they are following. Animals tend to share a number of physiological genetic similarities with a human that is why it can be helpful to the research. Therefore they are subjected to modify or confirm certain data about the drug used before proceeding for the human trials.

I choose Brown Mackie College after much deliberation and comparison with other schools. I first had to research what career path I wanted to pursue. The next step was to find schools in this area that offered that program.
To become a veterinarian you will need to go to a specialized veterinarian college, take many science classes (zoology, microbiology, chemistry, etc. ), and above all have an interest in this type of field. This career is a very important career, especially since the need for vets has been growing for a while now. This job helps sick animals, weather it be small mice or a big bull, and this proves to really help the people and the society by helping sick produce animals become well again, and help them produce more. The career offers pros and cons, it offers a chance to help injured animals and other peoples peace of mind, but there can be a lot of stress and sadness in the career.
Becoming A Vet Ever since I was a little boy I have always wanted to become a vet because I have always been around animals. Animals is one of the things I know a lot about in the world. So I feel like I could become a vet since I already know a bunch about animals. Eventually after I go to college I will join a vet clinic for about ten years then after that I will open my own vet clinic and other vets can join in to make a big vet clinic. Being a vet is a very serious job, it's basically like being a doctor, some people treat their animals like their kids, so if the animal didn't survive it would not be good, you would lose customers.
Veterinary Technician Veterinary Technicians are the people who check your animal 's weight and look to see if there are any visual problems with them when bringing them to the Veterinarian office. I chose this career because I have always been a huge fan of all kinds of animals. I wasn’t aloud to have animals when I was younger so I became more interested in them. Veterinary technicians also have many different jobs other than checking weight and making sure nothing is visually wrong with the pet. They also do dental cleaning, occasionally take blood and stool samples for the veterinarian (Pearson).
