I am constantly striving to see the positive in every aspect of my life. But it’s not always easy.
My dog is currently suffering from a disease from which she will never recover. My mind is still trying to adjust to my relatively new schedule of running Positively Present full time. My wallet is thinning out as I march forward on my entrepreneurial ventures. And, as I get older, I find myself moving in different directions from some of the people I’ve spent a great deal of time with.
My life—and all of our lives—is filled with challenges that make it very difficult to be positive sometimes.
However, I know that choosing to be positive has helped me the most in terms of becoming the person I want to be. Even when things are difficult, I know that being positive—and striving to make the best of whatever

You have to share your wealth of positivity with the world.
The best way I’ve found to do this is quite simple and basic: Be nice to other people, no matter what. Tell someone s/he looks nice today. Tell someone s/he did a great job on that presentation.
Tell your parents or children (or both!) how much you love them and how great they are. When someone is feeling down, do what you can to cheer him or her up. Send flowers. Write notes. Don’t gossip. Be kind to all living things.
All of these things sound basic enough, but for someone like me, they didn’t come easily.
I never wanted to see the good in myself and, therefore, didn’t want to see it in others either. I used to be critical and condescending. Now I strive to be encouraging and supportive.
I try not only to treat others as I would like to be treated, but I also try to consider how they would like to be treated. People appreciate positivity, and the more you share it with others, the more you are practicing it your own
The ability to face adversity and overcome it is what allows us to grow and learn from our experiences, and ultimately
Be true to yourself. 2 Help others. 3 Make each day your masterpiece. 4 Drink deeply from good books, Especially the bible. 5 Make friendship a fine art.
I have to make changes within myself and my positive changes may cause another person to change also. I know that I cannot help everyone and I may not be happy all the time, but at least if take steps to make positive changes I could make a
I have the standard set of beliefs as most people; don’t do anything illegal or to harm anyone, be a decent person, help those who need it. However, I’ve struggled most with the old adage of “treat others as you want to be treated”. It seemed simple enough to me as a child, and thus I began to do just as the age-old advice said. In most instances I have gotten what I’ve expected in return. My grades reflect my efforts at school, the treatment of me by my sister was indicative of how many names I had called her that day.
5th pd TSI Obstacles Everyday we face obstacles that can be life threatening or just cause a minor incident, and every person has a different way to fix their problems. Some people take these obstacles and try to find a positive reason for them, also finding a way to get out of the situation. This matters because people try to be always in the right mood and happy, so they make this obstacles into something good. Obstacles can be turned into a good thing, you just have to approach it in a joyful manner ,or always have a positive attitude about everything. Although some obstacles can really drain you , they take out all of your happy vibes and just kill the mood.
Easy to encounter, not so easy to overcome, failures claw at hopes and successes. They bring down those who are weak enough to let them in. They strengthen those that can get past them. I got past one that almost ruined my chances for new opportunities.
I apply as much of myself in a positive way with everyone I meet and every place I come in contact with. I have been improving communication skills, but I need to keep working on asking for help if I need it and collaborating with other people to produce better ideas and strategies. I believe every person can improve themselves in some way and no one is created
Can optimism be a source of protection, an armour against the troubles faced in life? Many people face conflicts on a daily basis, whether it be spilling coffee on the front seat before work, serious health issues, and even being sent off to war. However, the seriousness of the issue is not what sets one aside from others, it 's how the person responds to the adversity. Multiple fictional stories, in addition to real life experiences, demonstrate the effects of how humans respond to conflict, such as The Diary of Anne Frank and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas: A Fable. The best way to respond to conflict is by remaining optimistic through the face of hardships because positive attitudes improve overall health, bring others around one into a better
However the one thing I learned was, my close-other relationship saw me as above average in disagreeableness. This relationship happens to be my husband, who usually agrees with me on most topics. This is information that I will use to learn about my husband as well as myself. Like the subjective world I earlier talked about, I tend to enjoy the world as I have come to see it. I enjoy the world I see with positive and supportive people, people who want to work hard and better themselves and their communities.
We should practice controlling our countertransference that we show to others. If any, we don’t always have to express them. We should be considerate to know that others have feelings and the way we look at them or communicate with them won’t always be positive to them. Everything we do or say should be done with
Growing up I learned how to distinguish between negative and positive people. Political colonies are freed new and less visible forms of imperialism installed (The Promise 21). While attending School I learned that it was best to stay quiet and surround myself around positive people. It seemed like the negative people were very talkative and the positive people were very quiet.
When I think positively, I can achieve greater things, however, having a negative mind-set would handicap me in many ways, obstructing me from achieving my goals. By internalizing this presupposition, I have learnt to always think positively and believe that I can accomplish my goals in
But beyond that, it is the importance to making the world a place where all can live freely and without fear. Respect human worth and embrace the humble because the humble are the ones who usually make it far in life. The importance of embracing others is to do something different and it can change things around in a whole new perspective. Be supportive and take action to what really needs to be shown out to the world and people will embrace that. Embrace those who others have block and observe ways and develop our own practices and
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
In our life, there are periods of challenges that we must face, but the real challenge is how we grow and learn from overcoming them. Being naive children, we believed that life was simplistic and effortless. Well, we were wrong, we can only yearn for life to be easy. Growing up, we continue to face countless hurdles that only get bigger and bigger. My life, in particular, has been filled with numerous up and downs.
