Water pollution
A very good morning to PuanRokiah and all my dear friends. Today I would like to talk about the effects ,causes and ways of preventing of water pollution. First of all , let’s just think for a second. What is pollution? Well, as far as I know, pollution means something in nature becomes dirty or worse. Well there are many types of pollution, example, water pollution, sound pollution, and air pollution. Today let me be specific about water pollution. Water is very essential to us. We need at least 70% of water in our body to live. Just imagine 70% of water? It’s a lot and most of the water in Malaysia are getting from bad to worse.
Now lets talk about water pollution. What are the causes? Firstly, it is the attitude of the society. We don’t care about the environment. All we know is we can throw rubbish everywhere and however we want. Its our country right ? Well, its wrong, very wrong actually . Do you know in Australia, even if you throw rubbish accidentally on the road, you are needed to pay 500 dollars as a penalty. In Malaysia, how cares ? Even you throw rubbish, no one is going to fine you or no one is going to take you to jail. The attitude of our society is very bad and because of

Each time our waste from our body is flushed down into the toilet, it goes into the septic tank where it is separated into solid from liquid part. All the metabolic and biological processes used to break this parts which usually is drain into a large drainage system but nowadays, most of it goes to the sea. It can even go into the soil and causes plants to die. Sometimes even the atmospheric deposition is also pollution of water. This is because when the air is polluted with all the nitrogen monoxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and many more it can combine the clouds and come down as acid rain which goes into the
Disease caused by pollution might be caused by water pollution or air pollution, this is when the environment around a person is dirty. Examples are: Rickets, anemia,
Everyday around our cities and towns people are recycling cans, newspaper, and plastic containers. If we are already doing things to improve our environment why should we need to have a new law passed stating how we recycle our trash? Careful- make a mistake, and you will be fined. Those fines, along with the increased taxes to pay for the services and personnel, make this a bad idea for taxpayers.
Manure and chemical filled lagoons are a common component of industrial farming. A colossal amount of waste is produced from COFAs, therefore it has to go somewhere. That somewhere would be the prior mentioned lagoons which are then sprayed or leaked into the soil. Contaminated soil can affect both ground and surface water. The runoff can go in two directions; either absorbed into the ground or washed into rivers or lakes in the surrounding area.
When you see a litterbug throw the rest of their half-eaten lunch on the ground or dispose of a cigarette out their Hummer window, you might be disgusted by the fact that, that someone negatively impacts the environment. Most human beings know that our negative actions towards the environment have a ripple effect like a drop in the ocean. However, not everyone cares or sees the impact that we all individually have on the earth. In the essay, Our Unhealthy Future Under Environmentalism, John Berlau, an American economist, debates that conserving and preserving our environment is unnecessary and environmentalist should chill out with this save the planet bull crap. This essay comes directly from Berlau’s book called, Eco-Freaks: Environmentalism
Lake Erie has been a huge topic for Ohioans due to how polluted the water is. Lake Erie is Ohio's biggest water source, and that being polluted is not good for Ohio and other states that use Lake Erie’s water. Though this is not the first time this has happened before, in 1960 the lake was VERY polluted due to heavy industries lined up on the shore lines. Lake Erie called the “Dead Lake” for how much pollution was in it, and how many dead fish there were.
What we need to do is recycle more. We need to keep our world clean and not full of trash. Some people just think it is alright to throw their garbage out the window of their car and think that nothing will happen. Well, that 's not true! Animals that see it think of it as food and once they get into it they may get stuck or get cut on the thing that you threw out.
Nowadays debris is an integral part of humanity life. Mankind thinks about how to make the product easier and cheaper to use, but nobody cares what happens with waste after it was used. We contaminate the environment with every decade increasingly: muddied air and water, global warming are an output of human life. The worst thing is that from such attitude other living beings are dying. Millions of animals and birds cannot withstand such environmental changes; their populations become smaller and, eventually, disappear altogether from the face of the earth.
$ 31 billion worth of food is trashed every year in Canada. We on average throw out 1 in 5 bags of groceries. Many commercial companies and our government are ignoring this problem while the rest of the world has started to take action. Behind a Walmart store there is roughly 12 bins of consumable food thrown out. Not into the compost but into the garbage.
Intro: Water pollution has caused so many problems to our waterways that no one really knows how to help. Water pollution caused; dead zones, oil spills, garbage floating around, and unsafe drinking water. People disagree about water pollution because, people have found ways to improve and help out the problem that water pollution has caused around the world. Others believe that that water pollution has created situations and are in the process of figuring out solutions. Marine life habitats are getting destroyed, marine life is declining everyday, how and where the garbage is getting into the oceans, and the drinking water is becoming seriously unsafe to drink.
That 's 30 percent of the global total. The top countries most responsible for the plastic pollution issue are as following, China, The Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Egypt, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Bangladesh. What are we gonna do about it? Switch bag materials or don 't even provide bags just make the people bring their own bags and then they can continue to reuse them and then we won 't have the issue of plastic ending up in the ocean. Innocent animals we haven 't even discovered yet are dying because people can 't walk 10 feet to a trash can.
Imagine what happens if we keep on polluting our planet? What happens to our future generation? Since plastic takes years to biodegrade, if we keep polluting our environment with plastic, then our future generation will suffer from the environment around them. It also means that plastic and other trash will continue polluting the ocean, which can cause thousands of sea animals to go extinct, providing us with less source of food. Not only sea animals, but animals all over the world might extinct or become endangered because of pollution.
MAJOR PROBLEM: SINGAPORE WATER SHORTAGE ISSUE Short history of Singapore: Singapore gained independence on 9th August in 1965 from the merger with Malaysia. After its separation from Malaysia, Singapore faces major problem in many areas. Singapore is a small island of area size of 718.3km square. Given her limited land capacity, Singapore face a severe lack of natural resources such as water. In the ’60s and ’70s, Singapore was heavily reliant on imported water from Malaysia and faced urbanisation challenges such as polluted rivers, water shortages and widespread flooding.
• Pollution: Pollution of air, water and soil require millions of years to recoup. Industry and motor vehicles exhaust are the number one pollutants. Heavy Metals, nitrates and plastic are toxins for pollution. While water pollution is caused by oil spill, acid rain, urban runoff; air pollution is caused by various gases and toxins
LITERATURE REVIEW What is water pollution? As the country is becoming more and more populated, the demands for social services have increased significantly. This has led to an increase of the pollution in many developing towns such as Ga-kgapane. The most disturbing and problematic forms of pollution in Ga-kgapane is the pollution of the natural streams. Water pollution is when there is a build of one or more substances in water to such an extent that it causes problems for animals or plants.
Water is the most important component found on the surface of the earth because it is source of life for living creatures. However, water pollution has become a global concern. Water pollution can have several forms from diverse sources. It is expected that there will be a lack of clean water in next few decades due to pollution. Nile river water in Egypt is the focus of attention of many studies due to many reasons.
