In the end, none of that will matter. Just be yourself and High School goes by with an ease. It will be one less thing that you have to worry about and that in itself is fitting in the way it should be. Everyone knows that the cool guys at school are the ones that play sports right ? I am here to tell you right now that there
All I wished for was to be back at my old school. When I walked through the doors of my new school, I was immediately scared. There were so many emotions going through mind, and I didn’t know what to expect. I was so ready to not give my new school a chance, but I saw other kids that were nervous because for some it was their first day of middle school. I worried for no reason because I met several friends and realized that I liked my new school better than my old school.
The high school period of one’s life is a difficult period. Everyone in high school could use a hero and LaBarge found his. Thoreau was an inspiration to LaBarge and influenced his decisions and actions, much like the “heroes” of today. Today people, especially teenagers, look to celebrities as a guide. They believe that if they can have the same style or act the same way as their favorite star, then they will be accepted or become popular.
Now you know how people are affected and damaged by stereotypes. Stereotypes should never be taken lightly they can ruin a person's life. Stereotypes should not be used in schools or around them they harm the student body.I don't agree with the use of stereotypes even if they are good one. They ruin people's lives either way. Remember stereotypes harm people in many ways.
Although I had some pretty hard setbacks, I did have great times as well. Some of the successes I had, before getting kicked out, were being able to make friends with two new teachers, that the school had hired, when the new school year had started. My American Government teacher was Mrs. Elizabeth Adkins and my CP English 3 teacher was Miss Robyn Spangler. Another success I had was making great grades and attending the rest of the time I had spent at the school with my boyfriend, Brandon Crawford.
There are some students who either are incoming high school students or are returning which can be a big fear for them the most because they don’t know what to expect from the campus vibe or even what their teacher can be like. Cox explains on how some students even have a fear of applying for college because of the paperwork they have to fill out and how much requirements they ask for. Also they
Now don’t get me wrong, I did have a good high school experience; however this isn’t about the good times I had. I want to tell you a story about something else. A real life lesson that I learned in school, something truly beneficial to my future. My senior year of high school taught me many things, however nothing compared to what I learned when I hit rock bottom that year. My second semester of school I decided that because I already knew where I was going to college I didn’t have to try as hard in school and work as hard for my grades as I had before.
Being in high school is scary. Walking down the halls seeing the upperclassmen stare and whisper, and hiding from teachers because you want to avoid an hour long lecture. Especially a small school can disrupt your nerves extremely easily. Everyone knows who you are, word spreads fast as wildfire. This experience can be rough on someone and their teenage self esteem.
Many technical and trade programs can begin in high school and students can take advantage of the opportunity to learn what interests them before they find themselves in their senior year of high school applying to colleges they may have no interest in attending. Post-secondary education does not need to be an all or nothing prospect, “vocational education and academic education are not competitive but complementary” (Herr, 2013, p.
So I redirected my disappointment and decided to excel at summer school. I did my homework everyday, I payed attention, and I actually gained an understanding of the material I was learning. I went as far to ask my parents to give me a tutor to be certain I had no excuses. And now in my senior year in highschool my grade never dropped below a B. Refusal to fail is now in my
