This doesn’t seem like a wrong idea, but anyone can be overconfident in any situation. For the boys that don’t have many attractive traits, it is easy to just settle with the fact that the nice-looking guys are going to have more success with girls. This is shown in the beginning of the story when Enn gives his future prediction to Vic of how the party is going to go by saying, "After an hour you'll be off somewhere snogging the prettiest girl at the party, and I'll be in the kitchen listening to somebody's mum going on about politics or poetry or something." (95) The reader can assume that Vic was a smooth attractive boy because Enn states while talking to Vic, "You don’t even have to talk to them," (95) and, "one urchin grin from Vic and he could have his pick of the room."
At one point Abby starts dating a guy named Parker, Abby convinces herself that he's the right choice for her and basically just trying to run from her true feelings because she's too scared of getting hurt. After getting drunk at her birthday party, Abby and Travis fall asleep together. Seeing them, Parker gets upset and ends up fighting with Abby, which leads to their breakup. On the last night of the bet, Abby makes a move that gives Travis hope for a relationship when in reality, Abby thought she was just ending things smoothly. The bet is over and she gets back to her dorm, leaving Travis heartbroken.
If they had never urged Romeo to go to the party, he most likely wouldn 't have gone to the party, and had never met Juliet, thus stopping the unfortunate events that were to happen next. Another example would be the event where Mercutio gets killed by Tybalt. Since Romeo’s best friend dies, he gets extremely angered, causing him to kill Tybalt. This event could have been easily avoided by Mercutio choosing his actions differently and wisely to avoid getting killed by Tybalt, or he could have calmed down instead of engaging in violence. Because Mercutio dies, Romeo gets out of control and ends up killing Tybalt, therefore getting him banished.
but she will do anythings to her love romeo any that’s super crazy that she will do that just to see him. Would you do that? Romeo, romeo, romeo and Juliet , Juliet , Juliet power of love they did anything just so see each other.when like romeo coming to a party that he never thought he was going to meet Juliet and right after the party and talk to her. Girls! Girls!” He grinned with white teeth.” This makes Vic look very much like a predator for these girls at the party and he expects them to give into whatever he wants them to do, and they belong to him like objects and prizes to be won. Another example is “Vic was holding Stella’s hand as they danced, and when the song ended he put an arm around her, casually, almost proprietorially, to make sure that nobody else cut in.
It’s only after Connie realized that Arnold knew everything about her, yet she did not know him, that she started paying more attention and realized that Arnold and his friend were older than they looked and she began getting scared. When Connie refuses to go with him and asks them to leave, the other side of Arnold; the cruel and cold one is brought out, thou he tries to hide it behind his laughter, it is still visible and this is disturbing. By now Arnold’s persuasion has failed, and that’s when he resorts to threatening Connie, threatening to break down the glass door, or burn down the house to force her to come
Yet, Romeo’s behavior changes quickly when he attends an event at the Capulets house. Where he sees Juliet and says “My eyes were liars, then, because I never saw true beauty before tonight.” Moving on from Rosaline to Juliet, quicker than a car trying to surpass a red light. Throughout the play, Romeo and Juliet become a couple.
Is Rosaline whom thou didst love so dear, so soon forsaken?”(2.3.65), this shows that Romeo shocked Friar Lawrence with his feelings towards someone other than Rosaline so quickly. Romeo says, “’ll go along, no such sight to be shown, But to rejoice in splendor of mine own.’’ (2.5.104), showing that he fully planned on only looking at Rosaline, and not wanting another lady. This changed very quickly. Romeo was truly in love with Rosaline, not Juliet.
This reaches a climax when he comes home intoxicated which shows that he expressed his true feelings towards Catherine, “He reaches out suddenly, draws her to him, and as she strives to free herself he kisses her on the mouth.” From the stage directions we can see that Catherine strives to be free which can be argued that she is fighting due to unwanted admiration. This scene was extremely uncomfortable for the audience to view due to realization of Eddie being her uncle. Despite many warnings from Beatrice and Alfieri, Eddie’s blindness is shown as he ignores their concerns. This was considered as a huge turning point in the play, as the action moves towards catastrophe, as his relationship with Catherine plunges from happiness to misery and culminates in his unnecessary

When Holden enters the Lavender club, his lust and immaturity towards the opposite sex becomes prominent. After a failed attempt at trying to buy an alcoholic drink underage, he begins giving 3 women “the old eye”, a colloquial expression meaning looking admiringly at them. Holden gives the women a few more lewd glances before abruptly deciding that he wants to “marry them”, contextualizing an image of immaturity towards both the opposite sex and the feeling of love. Holden goes over to the girls in hopes of dancing with them, managing to get Bernice-the most beautiful of the 3 to join him. While he dances with her he reflects on why he asked the two less attractive girls to dance, concluding that he was very “hard up”, colloquially alluding
Though Prodip continued, “But, only on one occasion, you guys gotta hook me up with some mad pussy at the party.” One kid in the group named Quan said “Ayy bruh we got tons of model bitches comin’ thru, they be down to fuck long as you hook em up with that dorito dank na’mean?.” After lunch was over, Prodip ran to the bathroom squealing in excitement about the pussy he would acquire at the party, and immediately called up Ron, his
Imagine a college freshman is studying with a friend when suddenly the true intentions of the friend are made apparent. A guy is having a great time at a party until a girl he does not know forces herself upon him. A weak and tired girl is trying to make it back to her dorm room on a Saturday night when a group of frat boys discover her. All of these stories seem different, but they end in the same way: sexual assault. Assault can happen to anyone, anywhere, regardless of gender or age.
