Science has always been my fascination right from childhood. The advancement of technology and its effects on civilization has enthralled me and generated within me a profound interest in the Sciences. I believe that there are still many new and exciting discoveries waiting to be found, hidden within nature, and of beneficial use to humans and the environment. I want to be a part of the next discovery.

Both in school as well as during my undergraduate years, I participated in multiple literary and oratory competitions and won several awards. As a desk assistant for my dorm at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, I had excellent relations with the students and was very successful in managing complex issues involving students as well as the university management. As the vice-president of the International Student Organization at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, I had to take multiple responsibilities ranging from managing accounts to planning social events and organizing field trips. Once again, it required careful planning and co-ordination at multiple levels within the school administrative structure. Community colleges are the future for higher education in America as they are accessible, affordable, and benefit society by preparing students to enter the workforce by promoting workforce development. Currently, I am a high school student taking college courses with Baltimore County Community College through the Early College Access Program. I attended college because I didn’t want to take the AP English 11 course that is offered at my high school because of how long it would take me to earn the college credit and complete the class. Taking English 101 in replace of AP English 11 allows me to finish the course in just 10 weeks during sophomore year and earn the college credit. This highlights how accessible community college is.
