To me,writing is as indispensable as water to society. Keeping a good habit of writing makes who I am today.I write with relish, for the process affords much enjoyment as my mind flowing freely on paper.
In my eyes, writing is conducive to recording my own stories from daily life. Human is forgetful. It will be quite difficult for me to recall wonderful moments happening several days ago,let alone even earlier time. I need to put them down somewhere before they are lost. Thus, things get improved as I talk about them in my diaries.
What excites me most is that writing indeed does wonders for collecting my inspirations. Usually I feel fine thoughts spinning about in my brain. I can 't help to forget them as quickly as I encounter them by chance. Therefore, I choose to write them down at once.

I have confided in my dear diary since on June 7, 2014, the examination day of the College Entrance Examination. In that period,my diary wiped my tears when I was filled with torment about my bad results. It is those deep conversations that have changed my outlook on life. Talking with her,I draw from my failure and renew my strength to move on. She is always the faithful companion whenever I am in frustration, helping me turn the corner during those tough times. As a consequence, writing becomes one of the most effective methods to reflect my behavior and I myself. It is exactly the introspection that shape my own perspectives towards my life.
To be frank, there are countless reasons why writing is my cup of tea. Generally speaking, writing provides such an amazing way that contributes to developing my logical and mature mind. I can not be more surprised if one day I look back what I have experienced:how I fill up the big pages, and all of them is my treasure of a
In the essay “The Art of Surgery” by Richard Selzer, explains the value of writing and how it may allow us to form a realization within the meanings of pain, love, redemption, loss, and happiness. The power of writing allows one to escape their surrounding reality, and engage in a whole new world to express their own ideas, emotions, and thoughts. The reasons to why we may write can be various for any individual. I believe that writing can have both positive and negative consequences, to allow us to see why we may choose to write. Some of the positive outlooks of writing may include; understanding more about oneself, moving on from past situations, and learning more about the environment that surrounds us.
The desire to change and inspire is a part of most people; sometimes it is because of our natural selfishness, and other times it is because we truly care for others and their ideas. The power of words is compelling; not because it forces you to do something, but because it forces you to think of something. Writing is the ultimate messenger, and it is a skill that some spend their lives perfecting. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail” was written from a solitary cell in Birmingham, Alabama. He had been arrested while participating in a peaceful anti-segregation march in 1963.
Why do people write? Why is it that we share our thoughts, opinions, advises, stories and experiences through the written word, and why don’t we just transmit all of this by word of mouth? Aside from the purpose of saving information or knowledge on paper, we end up expressing our selves via written words more strongly and accurately than we do verbally. You can come to know people better through reading their work, this is because you cannot lie to that piece of paper in front of you and well why should you?
Since I was young, I have been passionate about lending a hand, to a person I felt needed support and this passion helped shape what my future may hold. An event happened that has been instrumental in developing my character and guiding my choices ever since. It was a late summer night and it was almost midnight when my soccer game ended, After the game, I ran into the washroom because I was dying to ease myself. I took an excessive time and missed my ride home; they must have thought I had another ride home. My situation made me become bewildered at what to do next then, I thought to myself on giving my mother a call.
Books have shaped who I am today. Writing has provided me with a creative outlet. My literacy and writing history go way back. By the end of this essay, I hope you’ll have a better understanding of my literacy history. My earliest reading memory was in Kindergarten.
I always remember thinking that, there will be a tomorrow, that I will see my sister the next day; and one day I didn’t; and for me this was such a pivotal moment in my
Only we can fully comprehend our thoughts and write them down on paper. After writing, we are the only one’s who can grasp the actual meaning of the work. When you are writing about yourself, it is more powerful. The reason being is because you can relate to yourself more than you can relate to another person. You know yourself better than anyone else
I tend to have the greatest accomplishments as a writer when I get to pick my topic and write about whatever I want. In my free time, I love spiritual journaling. I journal when times are rough or stressful, but more importantly when times are on a good note. I journal about things I am thankful for and write prayers to God. Sometimes I even journal song lyrics I like.
This gives me a jump start, or flow of ideas that can later on benefit my paper. In the article, Writing What Matters: A Students’ Struggle to Bridge the Academic/Personal Divide Emily Strasser uses the following sentence to highlight and pinpoint the real true value of writing “Writing can and should be much more than sophisticated sentence structure and nuanced word choices. The devices of grammar and rhetoric remain superficial skills until a writer employs them to express important and powerful feelings, thoughts and ideas” (WaW Pg.200). I enjoy writing about myself because it helps me express my feelings. A paper may include correct grammar and word-context, but until the writer can intertwine powerful thoughts and feelings into the work, the writer is unable to accomplish the overall intended goal.
During my elementary years, I don’t recall being interested in reading, but I do remember the first time I fell in love with it. I was in my 7th-grade reading class. I just completed a quiz when my teacher realized that I had nothing to do after. She offered me a book that I will remember for the rest of my life because it is the book that basically started my reading journey. It was called Tears of a Tiger by Sharon Draper, I loved the book so much that I read the whole entire series.
What does writing mean to me? Writing means getting people engaged in your piece. It means people wanting to keep reading what you wrote. The biggest thing about writing to me is expressing your thoughts and letting your mind go. Using good word choice and having a strong voice in the writing is something that makes it good.
Writing is not just about coming up with ideas and jotting them down on paper saying that it is your story because if it is then it is half done, and readers would not want to read what you have to say about how you feel on an experience that you have explored. Writing is about going through experiences and jotting those experiences down on paper and putting them in order so that the reader can understand what experiences you went through to get to the point that you have come to. Writing is a way to write you feel and to make it easy so that you do not have to speak what is on your mind. In my opinion writing can be my favorite thing to do because I like to write but when it comes to me speaking, I get nervous and do not know what to say when I get in front of a crowd. Writing can also be a way to get out of things such as if you want to break up with someone, tell your parents something that is bad that you do not want to tell them in person, talk to a doctor in a message just in case if your friends are
This is exciting though, and I can frame my journey towards becoming a better writer as a quest. I am Hercules and the many issues I need to overcome to become a decent writer are my labors. I once thought writing was easy. I now understand why bloggers set aside times to write. You cannot determine when your muse will strike but you always show up ready to work.
A Reflection upon my Writing I like to consider my writing process unique to that of other individuals. However, I know that my process is alike with most people. I personally am indifferent about writing and English. To me, I enjoy it because it is a great way for me to get my ideas out and it is a creative way to get people to see my side of a topic.
Why Writing Changed the World Without writing nothing would be possible. Knowledge brings power, therefore writing brings power to modern society. Writing made it possible to transmit knowledge more accurately. Writing also allowed people to record happenings. Without writing, this paper wouldn’t be possible.
