I am Juwan Clayton, a current sophomore and this is my second financial aid appeal letter, since attending Lock Haven University. When first coming to Lock Haven, things we 're difficult, a lot have change since then. I have made large strides in improving my intellect, habits, character since my last financial aid appeal. My Satisfactory Academic Progress have been progressing but at a normal student pace, I believe it will take one more semester to finally even out. So I do ask that all committee members who are reading my appeal letter, please keep a open mind and try to understand my reason for writing to you.
Week seven, I cannot believe that we only have one more week after this one and then finals. I have learned so much in this class so I am really pleased especially because I know that by passing this class I get closer to reach my goals. Anyways, this week we learned about Swap space, cached management and the different paging policies. We became familiar with all these principals and theirs advantages, disadvantages and consequences and as usual I found some videos online that help me understand even better what paging is all about. The assignment was a continuation of last week in other words it was related to the NTFS utility that we learned on unit 6, but this time it focused on hard drive organization, something really important for
Through the past two semesters, I have obtained many skills that will be useful to further my educational career, but there are skills that I, nevertheless, must improve on. One area that I improved on is my word choice. If I was categorized as a writer, I would have been categorized as a thesaurus writer. It seems like I would pick a word from Thesaurus.com and jammed it into my sentence
Self Reflection over an Introduction to Adaptive Leadership When first signing up for this class I believed it to be a class about learning how to become a leader, or an even better one. After watching the course introduction and learning more about this class I learned that it was not what I thought it was about, but would still value me greatly. As I have examined the history of different leadership styles and theories I have expanded greatly on what I knew about leadership, learning specifically about adaptive leadership. I can also say that I have seen growth in my journals over the past few weeks, as they have started to grasp a better understanding of adaptive leadership. This course has also expanded on different aspects of adaptive leadership such as: disequilibrium, diversity, running experiments, and the four KLC competencies of civic leadership.
I learned a lot of new information from the guest speakers last week. I don’t think that I could see myself doing something like what Adrienne Gavula with ACLU does. I feel that I would get too passionate about a topic and get discouraged if things stayed the same for a long period of time. After hearing Adrienne talk I know that they usually have to wait long period of time before anything happens. I would feel that I would want some type of encouragement in order to keep working as hard as I would be.
These words will be the key to becoming great. To begin with, as a child, you probably heard the phrase “Practice makes perfect.” How does practice really improve your skill? As you keep on practicing you catch your mistakes and adjust. Hours and hours of practice for years maybe even decades made people become great. Think about the amount of studying it takes.
After watching the video I had began evaluating myself and felt inspired to better myself physically and mentally. I wrote out a list of goals and posted it on my wall as a daily reminder. Upon those goals was getting my grades back up, over the months I was successful in doing so. Although I missed being apart of the National Honors Society by .2, I am proud of my accomplishments and the opportunity given to prove to not only others, but more importantly myself that I can put my mind to something and complete
The year and a half I spent after high school wondering what I should do with my life was a pretty low point in my life. I was confused and most of the time thought poorly of myself. College has helped re-invigorate me and helped me see my self-worth again. Going to class and seeing myself succeed made me feel better than I had in quite a while. Then finding a career that I am excited about has helped me be eager for what the future holds.
I was impressed on the grades that i received on my first semester of junior year finishing off with a 3.89 GPA from that point on I knew that my hard work and effort was now being reflected on my grades as i moved on by the end of my second semester of my junior year i was really impressed in what I had done and i knew for a fact that what I had done was based on my effort and for that I am now a proud student at Tustin High School, But the steps I took to overcome this challenge were just thinking back and reflecting what I used to be in freshmen year to where I stand at now looking forward for an unforgettable senior year at tustin high
A full team meeting at least once a week to update its progress will also be very helpful. Our team has improved a lot since Thanksgiving, and we have been able to catch up with our timeline. Another improvement that we can make is to challenge each other’s idea more. By questioning and having doubt about each other idea, one must come up with qualitative reasoning and will result in a more polished and finished idea. 4) Next week is our last lab.
