The author utilizes dice to help the students get comfortable with statistics. A data file, pivot table, and a normal probability table are utilized. Students roll a die 180 times. The die landed on six 14.2% percent of the time (Sharma, 2015). Another article in the Teaching Statistics magazine focuses on conditional probabilities. The article is helpful because it defines a truth table report. A truth table reports the truth or falsity of statements with multiple parts by indicating whether or not each of the component statements is true (Satake & Vashlishan, 2015). One of the difficulties with probabilities is defining what you are attempting to solve. The truth table aids in making that determination. The pivot table, normal distribution table, and the joint probability table will be beneficial in my current position. I am a Managing Director for a fortune five hundred company.
