Week seven, I cannot believe that we only have one more week after this one and then finals. I have learned so much in this class so I am really pleased especially because I know that by passing this class I get closer to reach my goals. Anyways, this week we learned about Swap space, cached management and the different paging policies. We became familiar with all these principals and theirs advantages, disadvantages and consequences and as usual I found some videos online that help me understand even better what paging is all about. The assignment was a continuation of last week in other words it was related to the NTFS utility that we learned on unit 6, but this time it focused on hard drive organization, something really important for
I have found this assignment of reflecting extremely interesting and have enjoyed learning new things about myself and the care I give in clinical practice. It has given me more confidence in delivering care and enlightened me to always support patients as individuals. I have grasped a competent understanding of the benefits of reflecting on practice and will endeavour to reflect on all my practice placements in the
My first experience in the workforce has come from my job with Tim Hortons. Prior to starting I set goals for myself to pursue and achieve. The goals I set proved to help me improve myself in multiple ways. My main goals were to be an asset to my team, make connections, and continue to learn from my job. My hard-work, commitment, and responsible behaviour was recognized and I was promoted to Shift Supervisor after a year of working with Tim Hortons as a Team Member.
I have learned many things from working at Pixar. The collaborative projects helped me on my social skills when working with others, and actually enjoy doing it now. Additionally, my career has taught me to be more lively from acting out character and the work environment in general. As a ponder my work experiences, my manager comes up to me and states, “You have been doing a great job, make sure to keep up the work!” I could not be more overjoyed. I cannot wait for work
I would recommend this course to someone else as I thought it had a lot of great information. I enjoyed the look at my own paradigms, the way I see life. What I believe about what you think helps sculpt the way I think about it, or “I am what I think you think I am” (Landvatter, 2013, para. 1). This was a huge idea when I was first exposed to it.
Some of the significant changes I have made as I was progressing and growing were to develop a strong thesis to help support my claims as I write my essays, such as facts, observations, illustration, and examples. There are other areas in my writing that I have improved on. I have improved on my grammar, verb constructions, use of verb tenses and organizational skills to make my writing flow better when reading. My overall progress in completing this ten weeks course was wonderful. Every steps and skills I learned in this English class will help me to improve on my writing skills in my other classes and will also help me in my future
Over the course of the semester, I have noticed some small but positive changes in my life and ultimately within myself, as a result of the knowledge that I gained through taking ENGINEER 4A03. I gained a greater and deeper perspective in a large variety of different topics, helping to expand my mental process as well as understand the thought processes of those around me. With every lecture, quiz or assignment, I learned something new and from this new knowledge I discovered changes that I wanted to make in my life for the betterment of myself and the world. To begin, the topic of our very first lecture was Ethical Dilemmas, where we discussed the different stakeholders in a variety of different scenarios. I was introduced to the reality of how one reacts may differ based on their role in the situation or their
As a team member I was able to present myself and was able to put my views and ideas. This project helped me to understand myself better and I realised that I can work in any situation with anyone. I will always try to work in similar collaborative approach and try to improvise myself. It was a good learning opportunity for me. I have gained experience and skills from my teammates during the project.
Self Reflection over an Introduction to Adaptive Leadership When first signing up for this class I believed it to be a class about learning how to become a leader, or an even better one. After watching the course introduction and learning more about this class I learned that it was not what I thought it was about, but would still value me greatly. As I have examined the history of different leadership styles and theories I have expanded greatly on what I knew about leadership, learning specifically about adaptive leadership. I can also say that I have seen growth in my journals over the past few weeks, as they have started to grasp a better understanding of adaptive leadership. This course has also expanded on different aspects of adaptive leadership such as: disequilibrium, diversity, running experiments, and the four KLC competencies of civic leadership.
