The book was written the time of World War II where Saint-Exupéry was forced to move to New York because the Germans invaded France. The thoughts of leaving his homeland and achieving peace lead him to write the book. Also, different analysis of human nature and symbols about society are depicted in the book. He feels lonely so he decided to leave. He went to search in the different planets. In the first six planets, he saw a king, a vain man, a drunkard, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. Then, he goes to the earth as the geographer suggested. He meets a snake and the snake tells him that if he wishes to go back to the heavens, its lethal poison can send him. The little prince declines the offer and continues to explore. On his way, he finds a rose garden and he recalled that the rose told him that she is the only one existing of her kind. He finds a fox and becomes his friend. The fox teaches him that the best things in life are only visible through the heart. There are many roses in the garden but only one stands out. He realizes that the rose left in his planet is still special to him and he is saddened more by the thought of him being away from the rose.
