In the journal Human Trafficking Center it states ninety-eight percent woman are affected and two percent men are affected (“About the Problem”). Many are affected by sex trafficking no matter their sexuality, age, or nationality. In some cases, the traffickers have experiences with each other of those being taken advantage of. The article, "About the Problem" actually states, "In many cases, traffickers are related to or are close acquaintances of those they are exploiting.” This, in my opinion, can help people who are trying to find someone being trafficked or someone about to stop it and help them. Hundreds and thousands are affected all over the world by sex trafficking.
It is mostly because of the unbearable economic situations and corruption in the country. Most of the people affected by trafficking are women and children. The high risk of trafficking is brought about by the current economic situation in the country, which makes it hard for women to get employment and provide for their families (Susan Freese 61). In the 1990s, many women and children were trafficked out of Russia and introduced to prostitution in Europe, North America, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries. Human trafficking is caused by many factors some of them being poverty, corruption in the Government, economic strains, and legal systems that are inefficient (Susan Freese 61).
The policies in place are aimed at protecting the individuals most vulnerable to becoming victims of human trafficking and assist them as they escape or are rescued from the industry. The U.S. government believes it is mostly women and children who are impacted the most by human trafficking. This is true in the sense that women and children are most easily coerced or forced into areas of trafficking. It is also important to know that the sex exploitation hits the hardest for women and children because the age wanted in the sex trade and sex work is continuing to get lower and lower, and the cultural norm of
Laken Adams 6th 16th February 2018 Research Essay Human Trafficking in The Middle East Human trafficking is a problem in many countries. However, in the Middle East it has become a huge problem over the past few years. Trafficking in countries throughout the Middle East is not limited to, but includes the use of females as sex slaves, children in war and drug trafficking, organ trafficking, and many forms of forced labor for men, women, and children. This type of labor should not be allowed in any way for any reason. Trafficking in the Middle East should be fought until it can be stopped completely.
In addition to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety, the American Psychological Association stress that many trafficking victims struggle to regain their independence after years of sex trafficking and require help finding housing and jobs. The majority of survivors have depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder or a more severe diagnosis: Disorders of extreme stress. In addition to these diagnoses, many victims of sex trafficking also have secondary psychological issues such as alcohol and drug abuse plus concurrent medical illnesses, which add to the psychological burden that sex trafficked victims endure. Mental health interventions often focus on identifying potential victims in healthcare centers and public places such as shopping malls. The problem, however, is that once a sex traffic person is rescued there are no prospective clinical trials to guide therapy, oftentimes by default, trauma-based cognitive behavioral therapy is used, such approaches may not be effective for those with disorders of extreme stress not otherwise
Human Trafficking If your child is kidnapped and sold as a human slave the USA government does not guarantee your kid to be found by them just think of how that would make you feel towards them. Human trafficking is a global phenomenon that affects many peoples life. Not only does it affect them while they are going through it but it will affect them in everyday life for as long as they live. So just imagine how many children of other people's families are affected by this phenomenon. Human trafficking is a number of different things such as being sex slaves, child soldiers, or just out right slaves. There are many laws that try and prevent human trafficking however these laws are not enough to eliminate it.
Forced prostitution and sexual exploitation should be considered as violations of human dignity. Women find themselves sold into slavery, sometimes by family or friends that are seeking money. About 80% of women and girls who are victims of trafficking are sold into the sex market. More than 253,000 women were put into forced prostitution between
Stripping, pornography, and sexual acts that are performed in exchange for food and shelter are also very detrimental to the sex industry. One of the main myths about sex trafficking is that it is a CHOICE. I can tell you from my own experiences that it IS NOT a choice. The reality is not that a child wakes up one day and says “I think I want to be a prostitute today.” There are many things that can make a child more vulnerable to being recruited by a trafficker, and we will get into some of those later on. Sex trafficking is a universal, structured, and organized crime.

Human Rights: Human Trafficking Human trafficking can be defined as the practice of enlisting, transporting, or sheltering individuals forcefully through coercive and deceptive methods. It is important to note that a majority of people mainly focus on sexual trafficking while it also includes activities ranging from ownership of slaves to the importation of cheap labor. In fact, in his study, Weitzer acknowledges that, “What gets sidelined in the focus on sex trafficking is labor trafficking-in agriculture, manufacturing, fishing, mining, and domestic service” (8). Human trafficking happens everyday. People are abused physically, mentally, and treated as objects.
Other reasons I have found for trafficking are kidnapping, poverty, greed, lust, abuse, control, fear, pedophilia, and the economy. I have experienced this first hand, I have seen the hurt and pain it causes. You look into one of these trafficked little girls eyes and your heart just breaks. Theres so many reasons why it happens, but for us it is so hard to grasp that people could do such a horrible thing. I think it all comes back down to what I stated before, “Hurt people, hurt
It occurs for three reasons prostitution, forced labor, and human organs. The majority of the victims of human trafficking are immigrants because traffickers use immigrant’s workers unfamiliarity with the language, laws and customs to manipulate them. From Algeria to New York City we can see similarities in the way involuntary servitude works. If we come together we can decrease human trafficking, and spread awareness about anti-trafficking programs that would help the world. Its our duty as citizens to acknowledge the problems that are affecting our society.
According to A Theoretical Perspective on Human Trafficking and Migration-Debt Contracts human trafficking is more complex than what most people contemplate. The relocation of a human can cause an extreme amount of anxiety for the migrant as well as the trafficker. There are multiple people that assist in the trafficking of individuals who have specific concentrations: investors fund majority of the operation, organizers oversee the entire operation, recruiters seek potential migrants, transporters assist migrants on land, air, or sea, corrupt public officials negotiate how to get migrants in and out illegally, guide and crew members get the migrant from one location to the next, enforcing ensure that everyone is doing their job, local assistance

Also, men can also form family relationships or just a relationship in general. It all depends on the people and facility for what social circumstances may occur. Many of the things I will say can occur and do occur in both male and female facilities. Rape and sexual assault is more common in the male facilities. Rape is a really big issue in prison and in a way some might see sex as a need.
