Influence of Bairam Khan
Humayun gave Bairam Khan a title which was above every other title; definitely, the ever-faithful Bairam Khan well deserved to be styled Khan-e-Khanan (خانخاناں). It was indeed, only Humayun’s loyal companion Bairam Khan who during exile induced him to go to Iran and seek Iranian help to recover his position and played a vital role in protecting Humayun from every hazard and as well as every problem. When Humayun had to face some dissentions with Shah Tahmasp(شاہ طہماسپ) , he played a vital role for promoting sporadic relations between them. When these misunderstandings had reached at high level; Shah Tahmasp(شاہ طہماسپ) called Bairam Khan in private and made some enquiries and became satisfied with his advocacy for Humayun. His ill-humor gradually passed away and he made up his mind, beyond the possibility of change, to support Humayun. Then the two sovereigns were able to enter into a regular league. Thus, as an envoy, he had been instrumental in prevailing upon Shah Tahmasp (شاہ طہماسپ) to lend the Mughal monarch military support for the conquest of Qandahar and Kabul. 48
In Iran, Shah Tahmasp(شاہ طہماسپ) who was Asna Ashari Shia, recognized in his former employee a strong-minded co-religionist who would in time influence the outlook and policies of the rulers in India. Though Bairam

Therefore, he remained illiterate throughout his life.50 Even though, after observing the capabilities of Akbar, John Correia Afonso said that; “Akbar has always appeared to me among sovereigns, what Shakespeare was among poets. Yet he was even more, for the versatility of his talents placed him in a class by himself. Exceptionally intelligent, though technically illiterate, inquisitive by nature, Akbar was a consummate diplomat and statesman, soldier and
There are many people in the world that have made a difference. Every person alive, that has been alive, and will be born, will have an effect on the world in one way or another. Two people that have affected the world are Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian antiwar activist, and Chris McCandless, from the true novel Into the Wild. These two may have affected the world differently, but when their actions and stories are put together, a whole is created.
The letter to Amir from Rahim Khan made Amir’s life better. Although it may outwardly seem that Amir was put into another series of difficult decisions and misery, the end result that Amir was desperately struggling to look for is worth it all in the end and Rahim Khan was just there to give him a little push. Rahim knows Amir very well and what he wrote was made with good intentions. Amir is a cowardly person; it’s just who he is, and that he just needed reassuring.
He was known as an intelligent person because he was able to benefit himself and his people. For example, Kamehameha started to charge visiting ships because he knew Hawai’i was a stopover and other places did so. This is something that changed after the unification. This was a good change because it resulted in receiving new goods like food and animals.
He was a good emperor but not like his father once on before Ogodei took over after his death. Genghis
The Ottoman and Mughal empires both used Islam in their culture, economy, wars, and society. It influenced their art, the way they treated non-Muslims, their motivations for war. It is important to note that both empires were influenced differently by their majority religion. However, both the Ottomans and Mughals were heavily influenced as Islam was a major part of everyday life from the art to the bureaucracy.
The two empires share many traits, but they also differ in many ways. However, although similar, the Ottoman empire and Mughal empire are fundamentally different because of their view on religious tolerance, utilization of military successes, and women’s rights. To begin, the Ottoman and Mughal empires differ greatly in
Khan was one of the most religiously tolerant rulers in history. He allowed people from different backgrounds enter his kingdom and hold high roles in the government. For example, Rashid al-Din was a Muslim historian who served in a high administration and documented the history of the empire. Another person was Marco Polo, a Christian, who served in the court of Kublai Khan, grandson of Genghis Khan, for 17 years. Both these men came from different religious backgrounds but still played a significant role in the Mongol empire.
The Mughal and Manchu/Qing empires were formed during the 16th century and became two of the largest, economically successful, and most powerful dynasties in Asia for over two hundred years. “In each empire, hereditary emperors ruled over multi-ethnic and multi-religious states. As the result of conquest, ethnic minorities ruled both the Qing Dynasty in China and Mughal Empire in India”. These empires thrived and expanded over the years due to their effective leadership and implicit understanding of the inherent problems of minority rule. The Mughal Empire in India was created by Muslims from Central Asia who maintained control over a population consisting primarily of Hindus and the Manchu or Qing Dynasty consisted of a small number of Manchurians ruling a vast population of Han Chinese.
When Amir went back to Afghanistan because of Rahim Khan’s letter, he went to redeem himself for his past mistakes. He needed to get rid of the guilt that has been haunting him for years. "What was so funny was that, for the first time since the winter of 1975 I felt at peace. I laughed because I saw that, in some nook in the corner of my mind, I had been looking forward to this." (Hosseini 289).
By serving as a father-figure in Amir’s life, acting as a friend and encourager, Rahim Khan is able to provide
Baba forgave him, but Ali decided to leave anyhow. This act was cowardly of Amir. He decided that he wanted to get rid of Hassan instead of facing his problem and express his regret to Hassan. In 1981 Amir and Baba fled from Afghanistan and went living in the
It’s dominant religion will be touched on later, as it was one of its weaknesses. The Mughals had, as did the other Muslim empires, a very strong military. This was obviously one thing that made it so powerful. They used gunpowder mostly to create “rockets”, which were essentially just rocket-powdered arrows; but they were an upgrade from regular arrows, undoubtedly. They also produced high-quality swords and cannons which were likely used in trade (though they had fairly limited trade).
One could argue that Shahrazad from The Thousand and One Nights should be considered a hero for many reasons. From the surface, Shahrazad is noble and wealthy because of her father’s position as advisor to the king, she is identifiable and human, she is selfless by working for the greater good of the community, and she is brave for sacrificing herself to try and end the King’s reign of terror. King Shahrayar would sleep with a new woman each night and order her to be killed the following day. This system was slowly depleting the town of young, available women. Shahrazad wanted to end this horrid cycle, so she devised a plan to tell the King a story every night, and she would leave the story off on a cliff hanger.
Shah Rukh's religious overtures and historical manipulation were the mainstream of his strategy; it was political propaganda to establish the identity of a new ruler, and to distinguish himself from his father. In his beginning’s, he began as a member of the Turkic military aristocracy, who was responsible for implementing the Timurid authority in the conquered land. We have to acknowledge that the Timurid’s history and their Tadhkiras, don't reflect the real Timurid's brutality or any of their political activities at the royal house. Shah Rukh poisoned his brother Pir Mohammed, an adamant candidate for ruling after his father, and several years later Iskandar Sultan had the similar fate, when Shah Rukh removed him from power and blinded him.
