Abstract In recent years, governments have been trying to reduce carbon emissions that cause the global warming. One of the main and major steps towards a green environment is reducing the carbon dioxide gases from automobiles. New technologies have been on the market for the past years, from pure electric cars, hydrogen-fuel cars to Hybrid cars. In this research, the different kinds of hybrid systems

In the study, 40% of surveyed consumers say that they are likely to test drive an electric car and 42% say they are likely to follow news stories and developments about electric cars. Of the 40% who say they are likely to test drive an electric car, 78% cited not having to use gas as a reason to switch to EVs, 67% cited less pollution, and 60% cited no oil changes or tune-ups. “For a new product category, interest in electric vehicles is strong and likely to grow as more vehicles enter the market and consumers become more aware of them,” said Chris Ely, CEA’s manager of industry analysis. Yet, while there is clearly a rising interest in the technology, many issues sit at the front of people's minds when it comes to EVs. 50% and 34% of respondents, respectively, thought that range and battery life were at the top of the list when it came to reasons they wouldn't purchase a plug-in. Issues of purchase price, reliability and a lack of robust charging infrastructure also ranked high in terms of concerns. 71% of people were also worried by the thought of running out of fuel on the road, …show more content…
The number of annual sales of cars in Saudi is very high, around 800,000 cars have been sold, with the annual sales expected to increase up to one million cars in 2020, according to an article in Al-Riyadh newspaper (Alghamdi, 2012). That is almost the amount of sales in the United States. In normal cases that means more consumption of oil and more pollution. Whereas using hybrid cars will reduce fuel consumption and emissions in the transportation sector. Since Saudi Arabia has a huge area and the distance between main cities are long, hybrid cars can reduce the number of refueling and consequently time. The rate of the depletion of the reserved oil will be less, and that means more lifetime for the reserves. The more usage of hybrid cars will mean that more research and development (R&D) in this sector, which will result in the cost reduction of manufacturing hybrid cars.
The goal of this research is to study the consumers’ attitudes in Saudi Arabia towards considering buying Hybrids. The importance of this research is to fill the gap about consumers’ opinion considering buying Hybrids, since Saudi Arabia is one of the largest markets in the Middle
Another survey present that people were more inclined to buy automatic, high fueled cars than hybrids. This just goes to represent that society is playing a role in the high pollution
Gasoline and diesel are fossil fuels and aren 't infinite. Battery electricity are better, they don’t pollute and don 't burn fossil fuels. Instead of having a gas tank and having to fill it up at a gas station, these cars have batteries in their place and can be recharged with a larger charging station and needs 220 volts. The recharged batteries stay charged until the car is driven. Some people say that battery powered cars are slower, but it isn’t by much and battery powered cars think is worth slowing down a little if it means saving the planet.
First of all, let’s talk about the environment. I’m sure you all know about greenhouse gases and global warming, so I won’t talk much about that, but you may not know that road vehicles produce 10% of all man-made greenhouse gas emissions. This does include vehicles other than cars like trucks, but Tesla just came out with an electric truck which is faster and can carry more weight than any petrol/diesel truck. Greenhouses gases carbon-dioxide and methane have hit their highest levels in the past 420,000 years, and the extent of arctic sea ice has declined about 10% in the last 30 years.

This is all because of global warming, and if we start switching to electric cars, we could make a big difference and maybe, just maybe the effects of global warming will decrease.
“Why Electric Cars are the Future” Introduction Attention Getter: It was Sunday at park, two college students were discussing about cars. One of them said that imagine about two decades ago, it appeared there was no effective alternative to the gasoline and oil, but now there is a better, cleaner, and more effective substitute to them: electricity. Although electric engines are not so widespread, more and more people consider changing their gasoline-fueled vehicles to electric cars. Then I discovered why electric cars are the future.
The technology that we have today is unbelievable compared to what the companies had when we first started to make cars. We all know that our future is getting more and more advanced, and we will possibly have these self driving cars within the next ten years. Overall, we need to prepare ourselves for the next generation of cars. This research paper is written to explain safety, pollution, and time that will be saved with the use of self driving cars.
Soumya Saji Ms. Patiño English 2/16/18 Global warming as became a huge concern for today’s world. The rise of alternative fuel sources is to help this worldwide problem, as a result, electric cars have started to become a familiarity to everyday roads. Electric cars have many benefits and potentially does help with global warming, but it may not be as environmental-friendly as advertised.
A fact for any electric vehicle is that it is dependent on the battery, which drives it, just as a petrole-um based car is dependent on its engine and fuel. The battery is, of course, what leads to the bene-fits of the electric car, like the fact that the car itself emits no CO2. But it also has some drawbacks when compared to a petroleum based car. Refuelling a petroleum based car is a simple process, simply pour petrol into the tank, it takes about ten minutes and then one can drive on. An electric car on the other hand needs to have its battery recharged with electricity, and as anyone who has ever recharged a battery at any size can attest that this is not an instant process.
A lot of people love to hear about energy efficient and environmentally friendly options out there. The electric vehicles today serve great benefits in keeping emissions down and using a more friendly alternative energy source. In my opinion they have made an impact on the environment, but a major benefit in using this alternative resource is less cost to fuel the vehicle. Gasoline is very expensive today, and using the energy that is used to power our home, is much less expensive and more available than gas. The environment, as claimed by environmentalists, suffers due to the emissions of automobiles today.
Porsche 1. Analysis of the buyer decision process of a traditional Porsche customer. There are five stages in buying decision process which are shown through following diagram: Porsche is a reputed company and it is well known to customers. In case of difficult situation of purchase, customer can follow all the five stages such as purchasing of durable goods of new brand.
Hybrid vehicles, or more specifically hybrid-electric cars, have been the centre of debate since the premier models made their debut back in the 1990s. Environmental activists have been quick to advocate the perks in terms of reduced emissions of greenhouse gases. On the other hand, critiques argue if the costly hybrid technology is worth the savings in fuel cost over the long-haul. Hybrid vehicles use two or more distinct power sources that work in tandem in order to create power. While there is a wide assortment of vehicles that run on hybrid power sources today, cars enjoy the most popularity among consumers.
The reduction of carbon emissions to the atmosphere, the cost of maintenance and refuelling and the safety of electric vehicles are surely convincing rationale for us to make changes. So, we all know that majority of people commonly utilise fuel, oil or LPG as a
From this popularity, manufacturers have continued to make improvements in order to give rise to the most appropriate models. As a result, different electric vehicle model types which are unique and autonomous have been birthed. Today, individuals could get customized electric vehicles reflecting their tastes, preferences and needs. Electric vehicles have undergone rigorous safety tests just like the other vehicles powered by fuel.
The customers of Mercedes Benz look for products that have certain benefits that hold value for them. Therefore, in terms of benefits sought, they seek for high-end integrated technology and functioning of the car, along with consistency in performance and most importantly they will look to purchase cars that will offer high sustainability and reliability. The Mercedes is purchased among customers that heavily use the product on a daily basis. As mentioned in the demographics segmentation section that people who purchase these cars are in the high income class group, which means that these customers will regularly use a mode of transportation to travel to workplaces.
