HYDRAULIC BRAKES
The brakes that are activated by the hydraulic pressure (pressure of a fluid) are referred to as hydraulic brakes. Hydraulic brakes are usually utilized in vehicles.
PRINCIPLES OF HYDRAULIC PRESSURE
A Frenchman named Pascal discovered that pressure applied to any a part of an inside fluid transmits to each alternative dispense with no loss. The pressure acts with equal force on all equal areas of the confining walls and perpendicular to the walls. once we say hydraulic machine, it means that the method a liquid acts during a closed system of pipes and cylinders. Most liquids can not be compressed into a smaller house. Liquids do not behave the method air will once pressure is applied so they do not compress once pressure

once we pull down at any purpose, the dentifrice comes out of the outlet. The force applied has transmitted from one place to a different through the dentifrice, that may be a thick, liquid fluid. This principle is employed within the operation of four-wheeled hydraulic automobile brakes. once the treadle is pushed and also the piston within the hydraulic brake cylinder is forced against the fluid therein cylinder. This push exerts pressure on the fluid because it did on the dentifrice within the tube. The pressure on the fluid within the hydraulic brake cylinder transmits through the lines to the brake cylinders in every wheel. This fluid below pressure pushes against the pistons in every of the brake cylinders and forces the brake shoes out against the drums.
Application in Hydraulic Brakes
The wheel cylinder of hydraulic drum brakes acts as a double hydraulic press, increasing the force on the fluid by the magnitude relation of the world of the cylinder to the world of the provision line.
Besides the rise of force, Pascal's principle ensures that the pressure is transmitted equally to any or all components of the fluid system. this provides straight-line braking unless there's a fluid leak or one thing to cause a big distinction within the friction of the

Materials:
• 1 Large syringes
• 2 Small syringes
• 1 Length of short tube
• 2 Lengths of long tube
• 8” x 8” piece of cardboard
• 1 Toy wheel with Axle
• 2 Hand held pink erasers
• 2 Wooden blocks
• 2 Wood connectors
• “T” Connectors
Procedure:
• Cut a circular disc from the 8”x 8” cardboard - This will be the brake rotor.
• Attach the brake rotor to the axle and wheel using tape/glue/etc.
• Insert the axle into the wooden block and make sure that the wheel, axle and rotor are rotating.
• Attach the 2 wood connectors to the 2 small syringes using glue.
• Secure the 2 hand held pink erasers to the syringes. These will act as the brake pads.
• Attach the 2 syringe assemblies to the remaining wooden block ensuring that the syringe plungers can move freely.
• Attach the 2 lengths of long tube to the syringe assemblies and the “T” connector.
• Attach the length of short tube to the “T” connector and the large syringe.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Hydraulic Brakes

Take another piece of small jumper wire and insert the ends into hole A26 and the left side blue bus strip. Then connect the peristaltic pump to the board by: connecting the alligator clips to the metal leads to the pump. Connect one lead to each clip. connect the other end of the alligator clips to the board. One end should go into E6 and the other should go into the left side red bus strip.

A very interesting man who was born in February 16, 1839 in Stoughton, was Ellis Drake, who according to a story in Boston Sunday Globe in 1909 invented a two-piece figure-eight stitched baseball cover. Ellis Drake was the only son of a shoemaker named John Ellis Drake who was married to Susan S. (Treadwell) Drake.
What Kayden and I did first is get on EV3 robot out and connect it to bluetooth, after that we did that we started to think about how we were going to find out how many rotations that we were going to need to get it from start to finish. So, we got a ruler and since we already knew one rotation was equal to 7 inches we guesstimate that it would be about 5 rotations. When we tried it is was still a little short of its goal, so we added 0.5 to it and it barely went over its goal. Finally we took away 0.08 and tried it and it landed exactly on its target. So our final solution was 5.42 rotations at 27% would get us from the start to the finish exactly.
Throughout the centuries, humans have been attempting to find a way to power homes, cars, and other luxuries in the most efficient way possible. Coal and oil were two major sources that begin being exploited during the industrial revolution. Both have caused great controversy over the years from lawsuits to strikes. A new way to drill oil, hydraulic fracturing, was discovered and was an efficient means of drilling until its effects became prevalent. Also, when coal began to run out, a new method called mountaintop removal took hold, but continues to damage the earth.
To portray his motive behind the cartoon machines, Rube Goldberg described them as a “symbol of man's capacity for exerting maximum effort to accomplish minimal results." Within Rube Goldberg machines, it was extremely common for Mr. Goldberg to incorporate the six simple machines, due to their helpful nature to complete his wanted task. The six simple machines include: pulley, lever, wheel and axle, inclined plane, screw, and wedge. First, a pulley is a wheel with a lipped ledge along with a rope or string wrapped around the wheel in order to help lift/move
1. What simple machines did you incorporate into you nifty lifting machine? In our nifty lifting me nine we used two simple machines. We used a pulley system which is one simple machine.
(Lindsay) Steam Engine The steam engine generally used the atmospheric pressure to push down on a piston. The piston would be brought down when the steam condensed and made a vacuum within the cylinder. Newcomen’s steam engine was different from other steam-powered machines.
Chris Thile is an American singer and songwriter. He was born in Oceanside, California on February 20, 1981. On September 12, 2006, Chris Thile released his album “How to Grow a Woman from the Ground” featuring a song titled Brakeman’s Blues. The song is written about a young man who is carefree and travels from place to place. This song contains many music structures.
Finally, I hot glued everything to make sure that it stayed in place. After a few test trials, I concluded that I needed something to keep the axles from moving. I used unfolded paper clips to fix the problem. Once the car was ready to go, I tied a string from the mousetrap hammer to the rear axle of the car.
What would the effect of a Lego with rubber edges do to the amount of foot injuries? Purpose: The experiment is to find a way to make Legos safer for children and parents to step on when the Legos are not put away and to prevent injury such as cuts, scrapes, and fractures. “The foot fracture was early diagnosed in 26 (55.3%) patients, but delayed in 21 (44.7%).
By Hayek’s standards, the type of financial economy portrayed in the article, The Hand on the Lever, How Janet Yellen is redefining the Federal Reserve, by Nickolas Lemann, I contend is still capitalism (yet teetering towards an oligarchy). This paper will examine why I believe it does so. Perhaps some may not interpret our current day financial economy as the purest form of capitalism, yet in essence, it is capitalism nonetheless, and Hayek’s standards remain to hold true today. First, it is important to explain the term capitalism, as I see it, which basically is a socio-economic system, which allows for private ownership to profit from goods and services from which they provide.

The machine was set to 0 the force before the specimen was set into the machine. Each specimen was set into the machine, lining up the bottom of it with the the second pair of dots on the grasp. The top grasp was lowered to line the top of the specimen with the second row of dots on the upper grasp. Once in place and tightened, a strain gauge was attached to the specimen to measure how much
