The Lebanese society plays a significant role on the way people act, whether people agree with the society or not. People blame the society, but they collectively are the society. This brings up the topic of hypocrisy. Many people in Lebanon disagree with the society’s rules regarding homosexuality but they don’t do anything at all. A gap is created between what people really believe and how they are acting. Are we creating a society based on double standards where words are spoken, yet no action is taken? The fact that some morals and beliefs are shared all over these differences immediately catches the attention. When talking about arguments in the Middle Eastern society taboos especially sexual taboos are totally awkward yet most common. The things or places that society or religions prohibit and restrict practicing, which are actually the taboos in society, are a rich source for those arguments. Despite the fact that numerous masses might have different beliefs and ethics, one opinion is common in this society: sexual taboos aren't tolerated to nurture inside the borders of this region. Adaptation to societies' judgments was never a piece of cake especially if one doesn't approve of the common. As much as we see, a numerous number of Lebanese people acting and showing that they are free of these taboos but in fact most of them are not. According to one of the articles in the daily star professor Faysal al-Kak, a senior lecturer in health sciences and a clinical associate at the women’s health center at AUB medical center, estimates the number of unplanned pregnancies in Lebanon to be 30-40%, he actually said that he sees three to four cases a month. Professor kak blames the society taboos on using birth control devices for having such a large number of percentage. And this proves that a large number of the Lebanese people who show they are open-minded are only liars and hypocrites when it comes to
The people who have ulterior desires other than what is accepted, are still too afraid to act as they please in fear of punishment from the government, so they still act and conform to the government standards. The rest of the population are too brainwashed to ask any questions of the government and act mindlessly. “It is a sin to write this. It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to see. It is base and evil.
In the early 1900s, women’s health was non-existent. It was not taught in school, it was never spoken about in the media, and many women themselves had no knowledge about reproductive health. During this time it was common to see women with ten, fifteen, even twenty pregnancies throughout their lives. Men and women both were often unaware on how to plan or prevent a pregnancy and birth control was pronounced illegal. Consequently, this was also a period of high childbirth mortality, as well as a time where many women were dying due to self-induced or “back-alley” abortions.
Society makes people feel as if they are obligated to be what other people want them to be, and perform what society wants them to. Examples of this dates back to the Salem Witch Trials, where over 200 people were convicted of witchcraft and 20 people were executed. There are recent cases of this happening in our society too, such as the West Memphis three cases. The West Memphis
In contras, each year in Indonesia, millions of women become pregnant unintentionally, and many choose to end their pregnancies, despite the fact that abortion is generally illegal. Abortion due to unwanted pregnancy is considered the best solution. Whereas it is the same as solving the problem with a new problem. Like many pregnant women by “accident” in many developing countries where abortion is stigmatized and highly restricted, Indonesian women often seek abortion with harm procedures performed by untrained providers (for example; dukun). Some women already know the negative impact of having an abortion but most women tend to ignore it.
III. The support side of the Teenage Pregnancy strategy was backed up by an intervention that targeted areas of high deprivation with high conception areas. This would help pilot a government initiative that aimed to reduce the risk of long-term social exclusion associated with teenage pregnancy that helped by providing intensive support for parents and children to help them with housing, healthcare, parenting skills, education and child care. (1) “The claim that all humans, whatever their race, gender, religion, or age, have the right to life seems evident enough”.
Birth control made family planning simpler, thus allowing women to pursue education and careers before beginning a family, all while maintaining a physical relationship. This is primarily why people began to use and why it has risen in popularity through the years. There are many methods to choose from that meet the requirements for many different lifestyles and backgrounds, making it all the more attainable for all. However the use does not come without critics. Some feel the use is unnatural, immoral, and interferes with “God’s Plan.”
Since the country is dominantly Roman Catholic, the laws made have some kind of religious perspective put into them. An example of this is the RH Law. The law covers multiple topics such as teaching sexual education in school, availability of contraceptives, the importance of family planning, and others. Although the law could be very beneficial for the development of the country, the Church is against many of these because of its beliefs about sex and marriage. It believes in values such as chastity, modesty, and purity.

Some societies may even punish one for being homosexual because it violates their social norms. While gay rights have improved over the years and people are more accepting than they use to be, we still have countries like Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries along with Nigeria and a few other African countries that execute people for just loving someone of the
People want to avoid conflict by not speaking out against society and its members, but at the same time, they want to do whats right. Everyone has been in a situation similar to that in the past, where even for a moment you think that something is wrong that society thinks it’s okay. Now we dont always act on that thought, because if we did, it would create tension. But that thought is always there.

Looking at the low numbers of contraceptives being use one of the factors that has been over looked is the fact that Black men and women will not use condoms or any other form of contraceptive due them seeing them as a white man’s things. Lectures have been taking place in the rural places to try help educate the young people however some parents may feel as though their children are being taught to be sexually active but they are being taught how to be safe when they have sexual intercourse. Some parents prefer the government to do the teaching because they are not comfortable about that conversation or they do not have the knowledge except telling not to have sex.
