Do the Knights of the round table actually follow the code of conduct for a knight? During I Am Mordred, the knights of the round table showed many characteristics of the code of conduct. Bravery, humility, and generosity are three of these characteristics that were evident in I Am Mordred. The actions of the Knights have shown attributes from the code of conduct and will be explained how in the following paragraphs.
Bravery; bravery is seen as an attribute of a person who is courageous and fights fear in whatever situation he goes through. Bravery is shown throughout the novel in many ways but here is an example. Mordred shows bravery by riding to where King Arthur sits looking out into the sea on May Day. This is bravery because this is where King Arthur tried to kill him and the mere thought of this bothers Mordred. Mordred then asks King Arthur if he will take his soul for safekeeping when he dies. By asking King Arthur to do such a thing shows bravery in Mordred because he is suppose to kill King Arthur why would he want to capture his soul for after Mordred’s death. …show more content…

King Arthur is the definition of humility in I Am Mordred. By the way, King Arthur spends his days in Camelot with Mordred are one example of humility. He treats Mordred as his best knight and Mordred is the one fated to kill him. King Arthur’s humility towards Mordred is greater than every knight in the round table, an example would be King Arthur gives Mordred a boon the first time they meet. Another example is Mordred is given a spot in the Round Table although Mordred hasn’t shown he deserves
