Interprofessional communication is when provides/students communicate with each other, with people, and their families to have open, collaborative reasonable manners for the health issuers or concerns. During this experience, I was able to observe many different opportunities that interprofessional communication took place. Some interpersonal communication that took place between the nurse and the patients to provide great care to the baby, was explaining the shots that we provided (risk and benefits), importance of provided warm to the baby, importance of keeping track of the baby’s intake and output, routine vital signs and fundus check on the mother. Interprofessional communication also happened between the nursing staff and the doctor of the delivery to ensure the patients and newborn had great care during the process of delivery the child. The doctor and nursing staff communicated about progress of the pregnancy, such as dilation.
“Warriors of love who fight alongside our babies...leading the battle to keep our babies alive”. (A Quote) The career that I choice is Neonatal Nursing. The reason why I choice Neonatal nursing was because I enjoy taking care of younger children that need my help with many different things. Neonatal Nursing gets to save babies and younger kids lives if they are healthy and able to go home with their parents when they are first born. The Neonatal Nursing gets to help families that are in need of them to take care of their babies when they are born.
If they personally enjoy spending time with children then helping people and studying new things everyday than they will like features of this career. Maybe a pediatrician enjoys most of its job influencing the child to have a better life style. A pediatrician has the opportunity to save a child’s life and make them healthier (“Pediatrician” 9). The negative of this is that they will multiple calls from the emergency room and parents wanting to get a hold of you to see what they can do to cure them at home. Medicine can be fitting to a pediatrician but not to everyone, some of them enjoy working with medicine.
They are there to help you talk about it. Especially if you have questions about your infant. Neonatal Nurses take care of infants that are born with any kind of complications or if they are premature. Nurses and Doctors are there to help you get through the tough times, and to inform you about your child or children. Coming into the nursing career you will face anywhere from eight to twelve hour shifts each day.
As much as nurses have the passion and empathy for their patients, they are also trying to match their timeline of duties throughout their shift. When it comes to post-partum care, there are a lot of teachings, skills and monitoring to accomplish which is sometimes hard to fit into one shift and patients only stay in the hospital for about two to three days depending on their labour experience and well-being. Patients agreeing with breastfeed helps prevent diseases and illnesses in the future for both mom and infant. Therefore, Ross-Cowdery et al. (2016) realized that "Although many women know that breastfeeding improves infant health outcomes… we hypothesized that informing pregnant women of the maternal health effects of lactation would strengthen their intentions to breastfeed" (p. 235).
They help the mothers-to-be to welcome their babies come to the world. When you just get into the hospital, nursing assistants are always the first people take care of you. When someone who has illness, and cannot be cure, nursing assistants are always take good care of them, even just emotion. In the delivery room, nursing assistants are good helpers to help the doctors prepare for delivery the new born baby, welcome the new life coming to the world, and take care of the baby after they born. Sometimes it’s easy to get done, but it’s not always like that easy.
The career I chose to pursue is Registered Nurse. The reason why I chose Registered Nurse as my career choice is I love helping people. Making sure they are taken care of in every area from bathing, to cleaning, to hospitality. Registered Nurse is a good choice because you get to work with a variety of patients, and kids in the pediatric department and geriatric. Nurses are also very specialized in neo-natal intensive care.
I had never thought of it before, but it was perfect! It fit both the things I want to do, work with kids and help people. I think nurses are so important. Without them a hospital would be nothing, and more people would be ill without the proper care they need. Nurses are there to care for the patient, support them, give them hope, and be there for them when nobody else is.
The nurse’s job is to educate and care for patients who are parents, or parents to be. This paper will be based on the controversy of circumcising a newborn baby boy versus not doing a circumcision. Positions and Arguments There are many positions and arguments on circumcising a newborn because there are many positives and
This so far has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This made me aware that the role of a midwife involves more than just delivering babies. Despite the fact that child birth and the human body have always fascinated me, and that I'm sure delivering new born babies into the world could provide unparalleled job satisfaction, when I spoke to Irvine midwife Jackie Reid she made it clear that midwifery can be a tough, hard slog. She pointed out that midwives work with women in a highly emotional state and try to guide them through the biggest, and most scariest event in their lives, a responsibility not to be taken lightly. Another woman who influenced my decision
This is a wonderful book on the potty training of kids covering the need as well as the benefits of potty training, tools and methods used for potty training and challenges faced by the parents i.e. trainers during the training period. I have found this book very informative and convincing in a way that it highlights the risks & hygienic issues related to the use of diapers viz a viz the benefits of potty training. This book covers most of the issues faced by parents while potty training of their kids and gives a way to come out of such situations. I have found the issues discussed in the chapter of Potty Training Regression very interesting and very accurate as per my personal observation.
