This movie is meant to be the prequel to Cloverfield and sets up how the entire incident in New York happened. Within the movie we see that a group of scientists from around the world board a spacecraft and head to space. There, they try and figure out how create a sufficient unlimited power source to save the Earth from power depletion. In order to create this power source, the scientists fire up this machine that accidentally create this portals to other dimensions, and as a result, the monster in Cloverfield is able to transport onto the Earth and wreak havoc on New York City. Although these movies are connected in their storyline, they also have many differences.

Next, Malachi Constant gets into some trouble and he finds himself running away from a large sum of people in a large crowd in a limousine. He somehow finds his way out of the crowd and immediately jumps into a helicopter. In the helicopter, Malachi Constant is remembering about some predictions that his good friend Rumfoord has made. After somehow "accidently" jumping his spaceship through a wormole, the human protagonist of Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe finds himself crash landed on a desert planet somewhere deep in alien space. As luck would have it the planet is home to a casino inhabited by a motley group of air hockey loving aliens. With defeating the aliens at their own game and wining the parts needed to repair his ship the only way to ever leave our intrepid hero embarks on a new career as air hockey champion. The plot in Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe is probably not going to win any literary awards but it does provide an excuse to take on some wacky alien critters in one-on-one games of air hockey.

In his situation the individual in question has traveled to Mars before the traditional way, by spaceship. The commuter is considering using teleportation to travel to his job on Mars because the risk and length of the spaceship. Parfit’s version of simple teleportation includes the commuter being unconscious for an hour and receiving a full body scan. The full body scan copies the commuters entire body cell by cell in order to make the replica of the commuter have the same brain and body as the commuter.

During the Space Race, many Americans were filled with lots of patriotism and were very happy and proud about comics where the Americans beat the Russians. For this reason, The Fantastic 4 was a very popular comic, because they started off as a group of astronauts racing the Russians into space. The four astronauts were in their rocket ship, on their way to space, when they were exposed to dangerous cosmic rays (Ahmed). The cosmic rays gave each of the four astronauts a different superpower. Reed Richards, the man who invented and built their space ship, became able to stretch his arms and legs.
