Factors that influence how tall you will be can be genes. Genes can influence several things including characteristics and physical appearance. During the early stages of your lives, biological events can naturally occur, which causes you to grow physically. Other things that influences your height is your gender which depends if you’re a female or a male. Another important factor that can influence your height is things like nutrition and natural health.

When you first look at a medical term it is hard to understand it, but when you break it down it makes it so much easier to understand it. I have not used medical terminology lab before.

Athletics is ingrained in the human experience and is an integral part of American culture. Because of that, many of my weekends and after school hours have been dedicated to either watching a game or starting one with the kids in the neighborhood. Athletics runs deep in my family. My great uncle was a professional baseball player and my family, including my father, three brothers and a sister, are all very involved with the various team sports. It’s this immersion into various sporting activities that has led me to the understanding that engaging in athletics has a very positive impact in our lives.

At some point in adolescence, this tissue will solidify and turn into a bone matter, ultimately determining the extent of body growth. While it is feared that strength training will cause damage or hardening of the growth plate, according to an article by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the cause of most growth plate injuries is acute trauma such as a bad fall (gymnastics), a strong blow to a limb (football), or overuse (long-distance runners). Therefore, youth strength training conducted safely and methodically cannot negatively affect a healthy child’s body in any way.
