Icebreaking Activity: Activity for whole High School (2:05- 2:20): Spiral Group Hug HS Students (including HS Principal Lynne) will be asked to make a circle holding hands (I will also call it as a chain). Then, I (Deepesh) will break the circle, where Lynne is standing and students will be asked do spiral hug to Lynne keeping her at the center (my apology Lynne, you will be squeezed). Once, they make tight spiral hug, they will be asked to unpack the spiral pattern from the center i.e. Lynne must come out first and other students from the center are coming out without breaking the chain (holding hands). They will be challenged to complete this task in 5 minutes. If so just tell other people earlier, so we won’t waste time to wait. And the second one is, everyone need to finish their job before the deadline we discuss, so our plan will not be mass up. And finally, everyone one should trust each other. If there any problems appear during the work, we should point them put, so that everyone can work on it. Don’t be shy, just ask.
The children been working on beginning letter sounds and this lesson is a new learning strategy to reinforce the concept in a fun and appealing song that help reproduce the sound patterns. The refugees moving to America are the citizens of Syria who are fleeing from the terrorist group known as ISIS. The factors taken into consideration about the relocation of refugees in Houston were resources like space and water. The final resettlement location chosen for the Syrian refugees was the Sheldon Lake State Park in Houston, Texas. Sheldon Lake State Park is the relocation site because it has land and water for the refugees to use.

Being a Grade 8 Retreat leader was an amazing opportunity that I will continue to look back on with fondness throughout my life. The Retreat is an annual event that our school holds to help the Grade 8 students build friendships. I remembered my own grade 8 retreat as an influential part of my high school experience, so when I became old enough to become a leader, I jumped at the opportunity. Creating team posters and name tags were some of the more routine tasks that had to be completed before the retreat. However, the more rewarding aspect of the retreat was being able to bond with the children.
In addition to using Mr. Potato head I will use the Bucket filler behavior management plan. I want to make my room a community where Kindness and respect for others is the number one rule. Through positive reinforcement, modeling and allowing the kids to add a pom pom to their friends bucket when they feel someone in class fulfilled their bucket filler role. Since I want to teach little ones I want to keep rules short and simple.
Chapter Challenge Write-Up Our trailer was about a battle between the blue and green slimes. We used dry ice, homemade slime, and alcohol fire as special effects. The main purpose of the dry ice was to create a heavy smoke cloud which surrounded the two slimes. We used this fog as something that would make an “epic” atmosphere which emphasizes a real battle.
What is often referred to as the Native American population is actually comprised of over 500 unique tribes (Jackson, 1995). From the earliest white European settlers, the relationship between the native population and the white European population has been acrimonious. There had been a feeling among the early white settlers to try and civilize the “savages” by bringing them Christianity (Kimmey, 1960). This idea of Christianizing the Native population by force would continue throughout time, with Mohawk/Haudenosaunee during the late 17 th century to early 18 th century commenting on how the explorers during contacts “Would always have a minister with them (Grim, 1995, p. 446) .” The concept created by the Puritans that “the only good
Being trapped I can 't-do this I can 't-do anything This is stupid I’m stupid. Everything is stupid, I quit i witnessed this moment when I had to do English homework. I feel like I don’t want to do my homework but I have to do an assignment or even just the idea of homework, often even before the work comes out of my backpack. Kids have probably never liked homework, so that’s not new, but thanks to our fast-paced, immediate gratification culture, kids today think that learning and everything else that’s mildly challenging and not fun, shouldn’t be.
The purpose of group learning and development is to ensure that all learning styles are catered for and the ultimate goal of sharing knowledge is achieved. When using a group to deliver something new each individual can call on a fellow participant to confirm understanding. 1.2 Explain why delivery of learning and development must reflect group dynamics When delivering to a group it is important to consider, what is the normal behaviour within the group? Who plays what role?
Observation 9: Math Each day, students do something that is a part of their circle time and it covers much of their math learning for the entire day. At the start of the day, a student is picked to be pointer and the math fun begins. They start with the calendar and count how many days they have been in school that month with one-to-one correspondence. They go over the days of the week, the month, what the previous day was, and the next day will be.

At our first few meetings, team building was key. In an effort to overcome the initial shyness, we took the time to understand and get to know our fellow team members; in doing so, establishing a welcoming and encouraging environment for everyone to share their ideas whist too ensuring everyone felt appreciated. Getting the team to gel was essential for the team to get results. We met at regular intervals, usually weekly, to discuss and reassess our progress. However, finding the time to meet proved quite difficult, between everyone’s busy schedules and with the plenty of other assignments we all had going on simultaneously.
