Overpopulation is a problem this country has had for a long time. People are living longer, there are more immigrants coming into the country, and more babies are being made each year. This causes a problem for the whole country. Tighter living space, harder job market… There are many rational ways to fix this problem, deport all illegal immigrants, limit sex, and an island. Illegal immigrants are taking our jobs away from citizens. These illegal immigrants don’t have to pay taxes, be on a jury… This is cheating the american system out of a lot of money each year, and making those american citizen who need the money and pay their bills, suffer. As a result of illegal immigrants taking their jobs, they have to move into more affordable conditions, which could mean a small apartment, or moving in with a relative, either way it 's not a way hard working american …show more content…
But like in my family things happen where you end up with a bunch of children. During the children’s life all the way up to when they are 18, they put 2 or 3 kids in one room that is meant for 1 kid. It can’t really get tighter than this. This is coming from personal experience. My parents lived with their parents when we were all kids, and it was awful, little food, no space, no privacy … Limiting the number of kids people can have can assist us so much. More kids can go to college, get their own house, and live their lives, and not be stuck in an over crowded house until they are 35. Now we have talked about the 2 big people who overcrowded, but now look at people who overcrowd us but also can help us. The elderly overcrowd our hospitals, and tie up or emergency needs. They offer so much wisdom, but are unable to do anything for themselves anymore. I love my grandparents, and no one would think of killing the elderly to give us room for more people. I believe the elderly should be able to share their wisdom, without causing so much stress on
According to a study released last year by the Pew Hispanic Center, as of 2008, 11.9 million illegal immigrants lived in the United States, more than triple the 3.5 million who lived in the country in 1990 (Izumi). Immigration throughout the years has become a major issue in the U.S because of too many immigrants entering the country year after year. The U.S has come to a point whether they should deport the immigrants back to their country. Believe it or not, these immigrants are a big contribution to the U.S. If it wasn’t for them, the U.S economy wouldn’t be where it stands now.
Immigrant Argument Jaewoo Ahn About 102 million people in the U.S. are jobless and the U.S. government is desperate to decrease the jobless percentage. When the U.S. cannot even employ their own people, bringing more people into the U.S. would just increase the competition for jobs. David has a wife and two children. To feed his family, he needs to get a job. The immigrants coming in from all over the world are causing higher competition than ever before.
Immigrants are not taking our jobs. “The U.S. civilian workforce included 8 million unauthorized immigrants in 2014, accounting for 5% of those who were working or were unemployed and looking for work.” This statement from Pew Research Center is also in my opinion and point of view not false but misleading information. If a person is lying on their couch too busy worrying about what type of drugs they are putting in their body, too busy being lazy, or too busy having fun and not worrying about getting a job, then that means that immigrants are not taking our jobs. Every person that is alive and eligible to work will always have the opportunity to work.
Obviously, these overpopulation problems should be alleviate for Hawaii’s residents. Hawaii population can be said to have gone beyond environmental sustainable levels.
There is an estimate of 8.7 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, according to the Center for immigration studies. They come here because they want a better life for their family, but their presence has caused many problems for the citizens of this country. Moreover, immigration has always been an important issue in the story of the United States. Many undocumented immigrants are able to enter the country illegally. These people along with other citizens say that undocumented immigrants are good for the country as they help the economy by working for a minimum wage in jobs that many refuse to do.
People 65 or older need extra care some family members are very cruel and don 't give proper care for their loved ones. Some families will put them in a nursing home and never care for them again. Although, this will create a bigger market linked to the elderly. Alzheimer 's disease has no known cause but has many numerous factors that play a role. Researchers do know that the abnormal buildup of two proteins trigger the immune system to attack the brain itself.
He’s not making blind claims without backing them up; he backs up every claim with fact based studies from a variety of reliable sources that contradict popular opinions of immigrants from natural born citizens. From my point of view immigrants work harder than a number of Americans, they aren’t simply aloud without fighting all along the way. Immigrants come here to take advantage of better opportunity that exists in American that doesn’t exist in their home country. They’re coming here to advance themselves and their families, they waste little time complaining instead working hard to get ahead in life. Pushing through culture shock from a virtually new world, possible discrimination, and obstacles that cause a number of people to fold like a cheap chair.
In some people’s minds, they automatically assume yes, but in reality, it’s a no, immigrants tend to perform labor, and do minimal jobs that Americans don’t, and won't do, so they mistake that as immigrants taking ‘Americans job’, but it’s actually a missed opportunity. One reason for people not taking the jobs is because of the hours, the next reason is the pay might not satisfy a legal immigrant, and people born in America, another reason is it wouldn’t be able to support a regular American family, but they will be able to support an illegal immigrant. The downside is that the policymakers disagreement is the weak labor since the spread immigrants flow has made a dramatic change seeing that the H-B has issued down by twenty- five percent in 2010. The last reasoning is American people want to have a debate on if immigration is stealing American jobs, but according to evidence immigrants actually increases job opportunity and incomes of Americans. This is wise because even George G. Borjas’s long-run estimates suggest that immigrants raise the wages of people with high school diplomas.”-
Thankfully, this problem is solvable by humans, given that a few things change. Educating people more brings awareness to the perils of overpopulation. Also if there is more widespread acceptance and easily accessible contraceptives would slow down the average birth rate. Finally, the government could intervene to stop too many children from being born. While overpopulation is a very complicated international problem, if we as a human race start taking initiative to try to improve this situation, we will surely be able to stop the overpopulation that destroys our natural
Immigration is defines as the action of leaving one's home country to start a new life in another country. Immigration has been a recent topic for politicians and the new president elect of the Donald trump. Undocumented immigrants serve as a problem to our nation's economy and well being both socially and economically. Illegal immigrants pose economic and social problems in the United States. Illegal immigrants receive approximately 9.3 million dollars in benefits from the Government while they only pay 3 million dollars in taxes.
The United States of America, being a country founded by immigrants, is known all over the world as the land of great opportunities. People from all walks of life travelled across the globe, taking a chance to find a better life for them and their family. Over the years, the population of immigrants has grown immensely, resulting in the currently controversial issue of illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants are the people who have overstayed the time granted on their US, visa or those who have broken the federal law by crossing the border illegally. Matt O’Brien stated in his article “The government thinks that 10.8 million illegal immigrants lived in the country in January 2009, down from a peak of nearly 12 million in 2007.”(Para, 2) While some argue that illegal immigrants burden the United States of America and its economy, others believe that they have become essential and are an important part of the US, economy.
Overpopulation Overpopulation is a condition that is undesirable. Overpopulation is one of the problems that people concern it to. One of the serious countries facing this problem is China. Reports in China show that it has about 1.4 billion people in this country; it takes about one over seven people of the world population. China is the third largest land after Russia and Canada in the world.
1. We do not want to increase the 500,000 older people who went missing each year in China because of being neglected and abused. CONCLUSION I. We need to care for the elderly and change our attitude towards them. II. Do not isolate them from the community by including them in our lives or else there will be an increase in the suicide rate and homeless
Overcrowding has been an issue for decades; however, due to growing population sizes, its negative social consequences are progressively worsening. Overcrowding is most commonly seen in cities and other urban developments. Cities attract people for many different reasons. As Steven E. Barkan, a professor in Sociology at the University of Maine, explains, cities provide it all: entertainment, cultural attractions, and employment opportunities (Barkan, 2012). Similarly, living in a city allows for easy access to public transportation, businesses, and other necessities.
Introduction Overpopulation is the excessive population of an area to the point of overcrowding and it is an undesirable condition in every country where the number of existing human population rises to an extent exceeding the carrying capacity of ecological setting. Overpopulation can be result from an increase in births, an increase in immigration, a decline in mortality rates and other factors that may cause overpopulated environment. Therefore, this can cause influence as lack of the available essential materials for survival like water, shelter, social amenities and other because of the numbers of people might be more than the materials for survival. In such condition, this regularly contributes to environmental deterioration, worsening
