Immigrant Laws Should be Stricter in New Zealand
Immigration laws should be stricter in New Zealand. In the past five years alone, we 've had hundreds of thousands of new arrivals. One in four New Zealanders are not born here. This is good for our economy but there are several problems concerning the impacts this has in our community. Over the years there have been an increasing number of immigrants who take advantage of being a New Zealand citizen, an example being Peter Thiel. A problem that I believe New Zealand also faces is that we aren 't confident in ourselves and our being to be as good as others especially immigrants. Lastly, housing prices and crime rates have increased as more immigrants come to New Zealand.
Being a New Zealand citizen has many advantages. One of these advantages is the New Zealand passport. It enables you to travel to 171 countries of which 155 without the need of visa, ranking in eighth in the Global Passport Power. Unfortunately, some immigrants take advantage of being a New Zealand citizen to get the passport. They then leave the country and make full use of their new passport. It is these immigrants that we should aim to take less in. What they are doing is abusing the

It would allow for more immigrants in need such as refugees to immigrate to New Zealand and make New Zealand a safe environment to be. It would also decrease the number of immigrants who take advantage of being New Zealand citizen. New Zealand 's identity requires everyone together to enshrine the qualities that show who we are and what we stand for in society. Allowing immigrants who are committed to be a New Zealander by participating in community events, working and upholding the law will bring the New Zealand community together and make us a more effective and efficient as a
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” This famous quote by the novelist and philosopher George Santanya exemplifies the problem this country has with immigrants and foreigners. While the focus of certain immigrant groups has changed, the standards by which foreigners under fire are treated has not changed. That is to say, the peoples being discriminated against may change, but there is always a specific group or groups of people that are treated with prejudice, and continue to be discriminated against even by the government of the country they are in. The Japanese were treated outrageously after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
One of the biggest controversies in the United States today is immigration. This is a huge topic in the country today because there is numerous people on both sides of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform that present great evidence about it. This reform is impacting millions of immigrants that are working and living in the Unites States today, but it also affects the people that are citizens of the United States. In this paper I am going to present arguments from both sides of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform, then come to a conclusion on which side I choose to place my opinion. There are a lot of worthy things that this reform is going to accomplish for immigrants in the United States.
When a person decides that the regulations of immigration are unjust, one of the ways they back their claim is to use the constitution. In Ken Taylor’s article “The Constitution Is The Rule of Law On Illegal Immigration”, he claims that “there are only two specific references in the Constitution to immigration , stated in this document as , "naturalization, " there is clear evidence by the Framers as to what they intended concerning the rights of the people who live in this country and how those rights affect immigrants both legal and illegal.” Opponents of illegal immigration being unconstitutional believe that congress does not have a true Constitutional power to create blanket legislation that allows “aliens” the rights of born or naturalized Americans. Opposers profess that illegal immigrants coming to the country is unconstitutional because it avoids the laws and they are able to gain the freedoms of an American citizen. Birth gives Americans the right of citizenship but those who immigrate are excluded from obtaining the rights and privileges that granted for U.S citizens only.
Immigration laws need to be changed. I will prove that Immigration laws need to change. Some countries don’t allow Immigrants because they think there are dangerous. Government don’t want people from the middle eastern. People need to escape their country.
America a place where people could feel safe and now that we are the most powerful nation we are able to feel safe. The only way to keep our safeness is to elect very strong Presidents. Some of the strong presidents might not be able to run because of the “natural born law”. This law does not allow immigrants who are now American citizens to run for president. Even though Immigrants have all of the other requirements to become president they are not allowed to run.
There comes a time in the development of a country that the need for every single kind of immigrant decreases. Today, our country is only experiencing a slightly positive economic effect due to immigration. With economic hardships facing almost every U.S. family, it's time to say "Enough is enough.". We can fix the economic imbalance immigration has caused our country with just a little bit of elementary addition and subtraction. We would have a much greater benefit from immigration if we selected immigrants based on skill and education.
Thus America making the immigration law is logical. As an immigrant from another country, I also strongly believe that America should harshen its immigration laws. For the country to grow
It is understandable why someone would come to the United States here illegally; They couldn’t get papers, a green card or permission to go. If an immigrant had relatives who were Americans, chances were still limited. Immigrants who committed countless crimes in America or another country should be deported, but those who’ve done nothing wrong and tried to make a living should stay. Not all immigrants are the same, and it’s unfair to punish them all. It isn’t fair to give citizenship as a reward for people who broke the immigration laws.
All of these immigrants should have about same life other people have. Not worrying about when your next meal is, bills going up not having a way to pay it, or not having a job. Immigrants need to be treated like a regular person not a animal. Immigrants don’t have a choice of hiding their identity, they have to do it.
Immigration laws have also been very controversial about their morality and their actions can outrageously impact families lives forever. The future of immigration laws is unknown, but prohibiting immigration is not the answer the United States needs. Immigrants have been moving into the US for hundreds of
“…No human being is illegal…” -Elie Wiesel. This quote is so accurate because no matter our race, we are all people who deserve to choose where we live without having to worry about being an illegal citizen. It is heartbreaking to see what immigrated families have to go through whether they are separated, mistreated, or being unable to be free to live their lives without the worry of being sent back. Like in the book “Enrique’s Journey” that is a true story, the main character Enrique had to face all the struggles of immigration in his country. According to the Pew Research Center, in 2013 438 immigrants were sent back to their country with over half of those immigrants being non-criminals!
Immigration is a huge topic in the news right now, many people have different views on immigrants which is why our country is having issues deciding on how they should be treated. The impact of immigrants on our country is viewed as both positive and negative. Some people believe a wall should be built around the border prevent people from coming in illegally, while others believe anyone should be allowed to start a new life in our country. Although some people do come into this country illegally and cause trouble, the positives outweigh the negatives. Immigrants help strengthen America through their hard work and talents, they also contribute their diverse cultures enriching the country, and have a positive impact on the economy.
While it is true that immigrants provoke strong feelings good or bad in the people native the country they have immigrated to,
Have you ever thought that this country, the United States of America is secured? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it never was, due to illegal immigrants coming from another country without a valid pass. Illegal Immigrant should not be allowed in the United States. There are many reasons why Illegal Immigrants should not be allowed, firstly Illegal Immigrants take jobs from Americans and Legal Immigrants. The next reason is because Illegal Immigrants cause more crimes to be committed.
The United States government should not allow immigrants in the the U.S. because they are causing negative effects. They cause americans to compete for jobs, immigrants to expect favors, and Americans to not work hard for their
